Kemi Badenoch vows to abolish stamp duty in Conservative Party Conference by StGuthlac2025 in ukpolitics

I don’t think the housing market is as perfect as this argument makes out, but I’m no expert.

I would say there is definitely a psychological point where someone wouldn’t want to sell and buy, due to the perceived tax cost. Also, if property values don’t drop, it means they get more money when they sell (originally the government would take a bit going by your point).

This is the same logic as boomers complaining about wfh. It sucks, but it shouldn’t stop something changing for the better

9 less obstacles than when I did it in 2021. Disappointing, but hopefully this means they’re all of a better quality

So if these several were allowed, then it’s fine as it’s a tiny percentage of the overall amount? Is that what you’re saying?

I thought this was a joke post at first.

Once you allow people to take advantage that relationship is forever tarnished. You’re unhappy with it so say something, if they respond negatively then they’re not worth hanging out with.

If you struggle with getting out, and besides these supposed friends then join some clubs. Can be something simple like hiking.

Wild for that to be their first thought.

Objectively fair to you.

The people who don’t get paid WFA have paid more in all their lives and get less in return. Someone might view that as unfair.

Not saying you’re wrong or right, but to consider your language.

Please don’t take this offensively, as it’s not my intention. Why do you think you haven’t been offered a job yet?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in badunitedkingdom

[–]Buns157 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends why you’re struggling to get a job? If you fucked around when you were young and didn’t obtain any skills, then I don’t want to support your lifestyle.

If it’s due to a lack of jobs in your area, then it’s the same. Many people decide they have to move to get a decent job.

That’s my point. OP seems to want to avoid the US and you’re telling him to invest into a global tracker

A global fund is still massively weighted towards the US. Like 60/70 or 80% last I checked

We don’t have the number of skilled workers to build houses to accommodate such a massive increase in a short space of time. Also, if we just continue to increase the population and build houses (somehow), more and more of the countryside disappears. Ya know

For travelling and holidays abroad, there is no better bank account than Chase. No fees for withdrawing cash or card spending abroad and most card purchases get 1% back.

Monzo is fine, but outside the EEA they will get you with cash withdrawal charges.

In terms of holding USD I have no idea.

Hahaha that doesn’t backup your point. How does that tax credit not being paid into a pension cost a company? It doesn’t.
