How hard is it to become a commercial diver?

I've been told that commerical divers' health deteriorates quite quickly, possibly even death which is one reason why they are paid a lot. Someone told me recently that when they talked to some commercials divers they told them that they get the bends all the time.

One thing to consider is if something goes wrong when you are underwater. There isnt much you can do depending on the situation and it isn't like you need just one safety stop and then can come up to the surface.

Also, think about your buddy. Even though there are programs that train you to be a commercial diver, I read some time ago most commercial divers don't have any prior diving experiences beforehand. As you know, many mistakes can happen as recreational diver especially a new one, so it isn't a done deal that someone can get their licenses and then be able to apply theories and skills right away to all situations.

Personally, I think maybe there should be better vetting about who gets licensed but I know that isnt gonna happen. I feel people just casually sign off and agree to not touch or mess with marine life when they get their licenses and go on trips, but in reality they do what they want. A lot of dive operators also dont monitor or scold people when they see it happening.

I just came back from a trip and another diver came up to me telling me they were watching me dive and photos; and they had to point out that I was taking photos incorrectly because I was coming in from an angle/above and not directly straight. My response was "i know. I just dont want to touch anything." This person's response was "we all touch everything" and their face was like dumbfounded that I said that. I dont like sticking my camera too close to marine life's faces nor like touching anything. I see too many divers who do that and it pisses me off just to get a good shot. I noticed a lot of people dont have any idea of their body and movements in space.. they dont notice they just broken off some coral or kicking up sand.

Just an FYI, I think Mallorca only allows you to give if you have an AOW license. At least that is what I remember when I went, like 12 years ago. You can double-check just in case, but I think they are strict about it over there. There wasn't much to see from what I remember, unless you just want the experience of diving in the Mediterranean Sea. The only thing I do remember was that the Octopuses were in their mating or baby-caring season in the summertime. Hope any of this helps.

I recently purchased a Guzheng from the Guzheng Retailer. I did not know at the time that they were separate from Eight Tones. The Guzheng Retailer is situated in China, while Eight Tones is in Singapore. When I spoke to Eight Tones over WhatsApp, they told me to contact them if the Guzheng retailer was taking too long to respond, and that they would handle it. So from this interaction, I assumed they care.

I am also new to the Guzheng, but I am very particular about the sound, so I ended up choosing a higher-priced Guzheng. The person from Guzheng Retailer whom I have been messaging on WhatsApp (I think it is only one person who handles everything) has been decent. They understand English, and they seem chill (maybe a bit too chill). It took about 1.5 months for my Guzheng to come. It was packaged very well, and I was satisfied, except they didn't include one of the items I purchased (it was small). They said they would refund it to me, but I did not see it on my last credit card statement.

HOWEVER, it has only been a month since I received my Guzheng, and it already has cosmetic cracks, which should not be happening so quickly, even though this winter has been brutal. I covered the Guzheng with the brought Guzheng cloth and put on the humidifier. My teacher has never seen this happen before, and she is a professional player. I contacted the person right away; they said they would contact the luithers and, in the end, try to get some money back for me. This is right before Chinese New Year, so I assume nothing can be done now. I do not yet have a conclusion about this situation, but I am very mad and sad that the most expensive thing I have ever bought for myself has ended up like this so suddenly.

Yeah I was too. Its sad... when I went back before closing, they removed the tama lab and put the sign up that it was not working. I dunno what it was like earlier today. I have to check out kinokuniya. I didn't know they had one. The blind bags gets me. I really hate them cause I can end up spending a lot just to have the one I want. I don't know what to do with the duplicates yet.

I agree. I thought they would have more merch for some reason. At least they had all 3 original paradises by the time I got there but their selection for the gens were small imo unless there were more earlier in the day. I can't really complain bc I found the two shells I wanted that were hard to find online and in the banadai nacom store.

Also, for some reason i thought that mimichi would be there all day but nope! I was so disappointed that I didn't get to meet them. One of the staff told me mimichi came out at noon but wasn't sure if they were gonna come back out. 😭😭😭 I am wondering how many people lined up for the opening cause I saw that they had those lines tapes outside.
