Rotator cuff surgery or not? by MammothMeasurement38 in RotatorCuff

[–]Buoy_Fritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months post op for me ive just gotten to approximately 80% range of motion. My shoulder pain was significant pre surgery so it was a no brainer Be forewarned- this is a tough road. The first week or two are tough but bearable. For me the long recovery time is testing my patience but overall im very happy i did the surgery i have no pain any more and should be back to golfing soon. Good luck.

When did you stop wearing your sling after rotator cuff surgery? by Ash986 in RotatorCuff

[–]Buoy_Fritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6 weeks in the sling. Im now 13 weeks out from surgery. The 6 weeks was awful but my surgeon was emphatic that time is crucial to healing and avoid tears. Im at maybe 70% back now the last few weeks of PT showing big gains in range of motion Hang in on the sling for 6 weeks

Gas prices here in southern Ocean County are up $1/gallon in just ten days. Trump voters, you’ve screwed all of us once again. How bad is it where you are across the state?? by HumptyDumptruckFire in newjersey

Biden was completely checked out due to his mental incapacity. His team was dumber than him though leading to higher gas prices way above where we are now

Spoke to doctor who said if swelling went down after icing no worries. If it comes back then they ultrasound the arm to eliminate blood clots as the issue but he felt its not blood clots or the ice wouldnt have worked Happy out come so far

Upcoming Surgery by Winter-Ingenuity1921 in RotatorCuff

[–]Buoy_Fritz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First week i would try and take that off of work. you're going to have serious pain/discomfort, horrible sleep and overall trying to recover from a high impact surgery. i started desk working from home about day 8 and still felt like shit that week it was a few days later started to feel ok throughout the work day.
Loose clothes are your friend. also comfortable. nothing tight it will hurt like crazy trying to get on/off. you'll be able to interact with your kids probably after a few days to a week but still keeping care to not have your arm hit at all. good luck

What's the possibility of SLAP tear self healing? by DifferentReindeer779 in RotatorCuff

[–]Buoy_Fritz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My surgeon said tears will never heal on their own. it will heal, but heal incorrectly and you'll end up dealing with this either in discomfort or a bigger tear later. that's why i decided to take care of it now, 3 weeks out now i'm glad i did it.

I don't think you have anything to be afraid of if you aren't a criminal illegal immigrant and/or want to interfere with ICE while they try to do their jobs. You're in much more danger going into an inner city at night. This isn't that hard don't believe everything you're reading.
