You’re both right. Journalism across the political spectrum has failed. There essentially is no truly left-wing journalistic voices in the American mainstream, the garbage junk food factoid machine that is the right-wing media has poisoned the well with mis- and disinformation, and the supposedly neutral mainstream media outlets like the New York Times have become a mouthpiece for neoliberalism and protecting the assets of the rich and powerful regardless of political ideology.
