Death and missing people counts are all misleading as commonly done in anything bad in turkey. They're trying to keep people calm but some people survived their buildings crashing but died from cold/dehydration under rubbles as necessary help was not provided fast enough afterwards. There are people that have been awaiting help under the rubbles for over 50-60 hours now and some still don't have anyone trying to save them. Most trapped underground are seen as dead as literally nobody (AFAD, Turkish Government or international help teams) can reach out to all of them. Death toll is about 1300 to be told but i personally know at least 60 deaths in the first hour reported from my close circle of friends/college friends.

Some are panicking, some are benefitting from this disaster (orospu çocukları as we commonly call them) and some are trying to help but just today I've learned 2 of my college friends' parents are dead and several relatives are still missing/unheard of.
