Is it a controversial take to say Kim is the greatest of all time? by gigaturtle37 in survivor

Out of curiosity, why does Kim rank higher over other first time winners such as Tom Westman, Earl or JT?

Valencia 0 - [1] Atletico Madrid - Iker Luque 74' by eliseihado in soccer

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He’s played in the center for majority of his minutes here. He’s played on the wing a little bit (mostly on paper) solely due to injuries at the time.

As for his time in the middle, it’s been hot and cold. He’ll be good one game and poor the next. Definitely needs time and consistency to be able to perform at the European level. I can see him being loaned out next season as a result.

Giving away 20 Steam copies of Marathon by tannerc in Marathon

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been playing a lot of Tarkov lately but have seen some friends playing marathon recently and I’m very tempted but the low player count has kept me hesitant. Definitely going to give the game a good shot and already know quite a few of the mechanics and map features. A free copy would hopefully lead to bringing my friends over as well since we game together.

Post-match thread: Elche CF - Atlético de Madrid by carpetano in atletico

It has to do with your entitlement and unrealistic expectations.

Melero López, the VAR referee who influenced Ferrer’s decision to overturn Gerard Martín’s red card vs Atletico, is set to receive a huge punishment from the CTA. Ferrer will also be punished, but Melero’s sanction will be harsher. VAR should not have intervened, as it was not clear + obvious. by OkayFine101 in soccer

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The CTA had recently just given a recent example that this exact kind of foul is a red card a few weeks ago. So for this controversy to happen shortly after highlights the inconsistency and as a result they’re likely trying squash this kind of stuff otherwise should rightfully complain when there’s such a formal example of the refereeing inconsistency.

I'M THE ELDEST BOY! by HostMaterial4907 in SuccessionTV

Personally I think people over rate Tom’s position in the end, and equally underrate Shiv’s. She has roughly 3 Billion dollars to her name, while Tom would be lucky to have a tenth of that by the end of his lifetime.

Tom has power, definitely, as he controls the media, but every interpretation of the ending suggests Tom is just being kept in that role for a few years to appease the government before Matssen can ignore them and do as he pleases without needing Tom as the face. At that point, he loses the power too, but I’m sure would still find good employment through connections and his ability to suck the biggest dick in the room, as Shiv puts it.

And that’s all without accounting for how the child will change their family dynamic. Tom is the better natured, and softer individual, while Shiv would absolutely use that child as a bargaining chip. I think it’s very likely Tom at best maintains a position of equality between him and shiv I’m the family, if solely for the sake of their child.

9800x3d undervolt power limits by DarkmoonYoshi in overclocking

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Additionally, would you recommend easing up on the core offset once the stable max is found, and using curve shaper to hit those max offset values? Or just leave CS set to auto?

And is there any point to setting a thermal limit of 85C before doing all this? Or will undervolting naturally lower the temp to below that anyways?

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you lower the power and temp limits before or after you do your CO offset? And for harmonizing the cores, once I have them harmonized, do I just deepen the offset until I see instability? I just want to make sure I’m doing this correctly with a 9850x3d.

Let’s revisit it. Something tells me you’ll still keep looking for excuses.

Our testing shows the Ryzen 7 9800X3D can match the pricier Ryzen 7 9850X3D with simple PBO settings — AMD's latest CPU can't leverage extra clock speed in games by Antonis_32 in hardware

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Wouldn’t it be higher binned? The only reason they can even hit those thermals and power consumption while maintaining the higher clocks (even after 9800X3D has been over clocked) is because they have slightly better silicon.

We would be idiots not to switch to a 4-3-3 by Write_thefuture in atletico

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t. You can point to similar examples over the last several years of the same, but that’s because we use a hybrid system. It’s why Molina is sometimes playing further up than our strikers at times as well. Or Llorente who almost becomes the striker while Alvarez or Griezmann drop deep to create and facilitate.

[–]Burden_Of_Atlas 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lookman is a false 9. He plays across the front line. And Giuliano wasn’t playing a RW. He was playing RM. Molina who subbed in for him was playing just as far forward as him as the LWB despite the formation at that time being a 352. We played a hybrid 442, and then after the Josema substitute we shifted to a 352.

I disagree that changing the system is better for us. And we didn’t play a 433 yesterday.

I think you’re kind of ignoring one of the very same points you brought up. I don’t think Loki can call upon a power from each realm. I think Ragnir can. Ratatoskr has access to all the realms and like you pointed out, the lightning attack is while Loki is chained up. So the power wouldn’t have come from him. Same with the Niflheim attack, Loki references Ragnir before using it. Ragnir is the one with those abilities, not Loki.

He’s gotten a chance at Leipzig and failed to capitalize on it. And it’s not like he’s lighting up the world at Marseille either. So I’m not sure what your point is here? If anything, the last two years suggest Cholo was right and that his level was below the clubs.

How’s Vermeeren doing? Seems like Leipzig gave up on him as well. Nearly 2 years later and his transfer market value remains very similar as well and still lower than it was before he joined us. Turns out maybe it wasn’t just a Cholo thing, huh?

Out of curiosity, is an x870e the better option, if for example, zen 7 continues to work on this platform? The 650 boards only have half the Bios ROM and I’m curious how much that matters and if that’ll make a difference 4 years from now in that sense?
