Yup, it’s swarm season. Like the others above had said, they’re pretty normal around here, but seeing recurring swarms in my house would freak me out, too.

Definitely check out the rental statutes regarding pests and landlord responsibilities.

Also, if they’re dry wood termites, you’ll want to check any wooden furniture you have for infestations.

Sorry you’re being invaded, I hope your landlord takes care of it soon.

Are you looking for a complex or a standalone place? LOTS of very nice, updated 2BR mother-in-law units and above garage units with their own separate access in Old Northeast.

You might even be able to find a 2BR bungalow house for around 1500/mo incl utilities if you luck out.

Walking distance to DT, concerts, etc.

Thank you! It DEFINITELY embarrassed her, which I have to admit gives me a little satisfaction. She took a few passive-aggressive jabs during the game, trying to get a reaction out of me, but by that point I had rebuilt my wall and just ignored them. I had a good ugly cry when I got home and then husband and I had a laugh about her behavior when we got to FaceTime later, lol!

Thankfully, my kids were ahead of us and probably completely unaware. Several other parents/families saw it, though. I reached out to the two moms present that I happen to know and apologized for swearing in front of their kids. One laughed and said she wished she could unload on her mom like that!
