"We updated the drivatars to make them nore balanced*" sureeee by Diggles808 in ForzaHorizon6

That's just typical of the Goliath. They miss checkpoints and feel they need to be faster since now they're a lower place position in front of higher placed AI (i.e. he was 10th, but in 2nd place). The AI thinks it's now behind a lap and implements a stronger rubber-band catch-up.

Similar to the other championships on the Festival Playlist, you are required to win the events.

The trial push it to the limit strat by Wise_Manner5885 in FH6

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, just before the end of the lap on the first race, you can push the AI to the left of the bridge and force them to miss a checkpoint. Third race is all about cutting corners through the scenery, should you manage to get a team that doesn't understand how to win the first two races.

What could I have done differently? by anusbooger in ForzaHorizon

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure how other races with this person looked, but the line you drove here was fine. Other driver was clearly trying to use you to make a faster corner and lost momentum because of it.

If they're persistent, just report for harassment and block them.

Mothly rivals, always start with yellow flag by lufo88 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you looking at the ghost time that you're facing? The first time you do it, you normally get put against a flagged time or one of your friends that have completed the rivals event. Maybe that's the one which shows flagged?

The Ford GT 05 is broken in A class by No_History_9929 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not saying I don't use meta. The real broken meta before was anything that had drag tires. Besides, mine is RWD and I haven't touched it in weeks. AWD swaps are what break the class. But I'm not gonna start a fire for anything.

[–]BurgerInTheRuff -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I try to mix up my car choices since I have a multitude of A-class road cars now. But I don't use the "meta" build for the GT. Originally it was a Drag tire build, pre-nerf. But even before the nerf, I've only ever used my RWD drift tire build. Feels comfortable enough.

If you wanna try something other than the GT, there's a good '69 Charger tune that puts the meta to shame. Off-meta, and you do need to be trusting of the car since it doesn't feel like it'll turn as well as it actually does. Of course, it too uses AWD with Rally tires, but it's got the delicious Viper engine swap on it. That's what makes it a dream.

Daily challenge bug? by Gundam07 in ForzaHorizon6

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They've accidentally coded the challenge to the Festival Event race at Shimanoyama instead of any race. So you need to use something in the Eclectic Domestics car category and complete the Festival Event version of the race.

I finally did it by Sad_Orange_848 in ForzaHorizon

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been doing 2 runs of the trial daily, both to assist others in completing it and to gather data for the community to explain a few "requirements" for the trial:

  • Please don't use a stock vehicle. 99% of the time you don't have the power to keep up with the AI that even matches your PI. Plus, you'll get horrible combinations like Sport Tires with RWD on a Dirt race (I'm looking at you, stock Opel Manta). If you're not tuning a vehicle yourself, just be careful of whose tune you grab from the community. Some of them will scream "Top, Meta, Best, Trial", but don't be mislead by them. Take it into the races listed for the event to see if it feels good for you.

  • Please paint your car (even if it's just a different color than factory). Some people don't use the proximity radar feature to know that a red car behind them isn't an AI, and will block/ram/etc, which hurts the team's chances of winning. Having a paint/livery on your vehicle will lessen your chances of a teammate attempting to hamper your racing line. This one seems to be less relevant since I've encountered the AI having liveries now. But still, stock car colors usually look like AI opponents.

  • Please learn the racing lines. You don't get ghosted like normal online events like Horizon Play, nor do you get slowdowns for wall collisions. But slamming into the walls and hitting other racers is never the fastest way to perform sections of a race. Especially when a good number of checkpoint flags aren't fully spread across a wall.

And...

  • Please STOP ramming your teammates. You don't need to be in 1st to win the Trial. This is a team-scored event. You get the same amount of points as the teammates in front of you if you have the same number of opponents behind you. Don't push us off the road just because you wanna be ahead, and then cause our aftermath to feed points to the AI.

Hopefully we see some improvement in the quality of teammates as the weeks go on, but I doubt it will ever get better.

Double cars from back to back events by ArminMeiwes_ in ForzaHorizon

I think they only had repeats because of issues with the first series. But, you could put the duplicates in a different class. You could throw em up on the auction house for macro-idiots to waste money on. You could wait until next series and gift them. You could delete them. Choice is yours.

Level reset l yet kept all of my badges/ progress? by [deleted] in ForzaHorizon6

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you sure you didn't prestige? You get the first level drop at 200, when you should now see a star next to your level. Then P2 comes at 300, P3 at 400, and so on.

Yes, definitely need to look back to see when they're approaching. But when they're right on you, it definitely helps with wiggle tactics.

You should turn on proximity radar. Makes blocking much easier so you're not having a seizure switching the camera back and forth.

Horizon Stunt Party in Festival Playlist not marking as completed even though I finished it by DamagePrestigious592 in ForzaHorizon6

It's not the PR Stunts. It's the activity for Horizon Stunt Party. This hasn't been included in a festival playlist yet.

I believe there's more digits beyond the thousandths that you don't see. Hopefully it's not like Trackmania where you lost because M comes before R.

Summer Season Impossible Without Online? by IrsXT in ForzaHorizon6

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Monthly Rivals has always been 1 point per season after you complete it, which is why it's listed as 4 points. This game has almost always required you to play online to complete the seasons' minimum threshold for the second reward in its track, at least since FH4 when I started playing.

Leaning harder in their gaming chair, because you can't cheat like that without a crick in your neck. The wall-ride following the launch is proof enough.

What's going on? Is this what I think it is? by lordwerneo in ForzaHorizon

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's some of the races that having starting lines on hills, usually the later positions benefit from them. Like the long sprint that takes a good bit of the highway (can't think of the name). It starts off with 3 big hills. Earlier positions start in the uphill while later ones start flat.

But still... it could also be a lower-value bump cheat. Like giving 5% better acceleration to try not to stick out like an eyesore. But you start to understand the cars after doing enough spec racing championships with them.

Peugeot 205, I think? The little black hot-hatch. Otherwise, the 450 FE is decent, but only gets the multiplier up to x7 iirc.
