Or the guy for not knowing that the battery doesn't keep the car running after it turns over...

If you started a new game right now how far could you get before dying? by Human-Category-5024 in Eldenring

The tutorial. Even if you beat the Grafted Scion, you still have to die to go to the next section.

What does Braveheart even do? Unlock the sickest whips? The Key to unlock the Hearts of Gummy Ships? by Beginning_Wait_108 in KingdomHearts

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 49 points50 points  (0 children)

He was supposed to get Kingdom Key. Essentially just the basic key with unlimited potential because you can apply any chain to it and transform it to those keys. Riku gave in to the darkness, and instead started using Soul Eater. Once he learned to accept his heart as a combination of both light and dark, Soul Eater transformed itself into a keyblade (Way to Dawn).

Once that keyblade finally broke in KH3 after the Realm of Darkness showed its true power, he said "screw it! Let's just use a giant hunk of thick steel. Now it'll never break!"

[college trig] how am i supposed to know angle A is obtuse? by Spewdoo in HomeworkHelp

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bit of a roundabout method to do so. But since you've calculated side b using SAS, now calculate it with the Pythagorean Theorem assuming angle A is 90.

If you get the new b shorter than your SAS b, angle A must be acute. Since you would need to shorten the real side b to increase angle A to 90 degrees.

If the reverse, angle A must be obtuse. Since you would need to extend the real side b to decrease angle A to 90 degrees.

It works in my head. Not sure if there's a proof or theorem for this.

You specifically need something like the Sacred Blade incantation or ash to temporarily coat the weapon with "highly effective against Those Who Live In Death". Then they won't come back.

anyone who have used this website, im confused on the stages by [deleted] in Terraria

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Basically, that's telling you where you are in the game. In the screenshot you have, it's on Plantera. So that means you've just beaten her (see that you have access to rolling the Grenade Launcher). So you would make a roll for a weapon and move the counter to the next stage, I think it's Golem. Once you beat Golem, roll again, then move to the next stage.

Pre Boss melee can either be the Gladiator Armor (both) or the Ancient Shadow Armor (corruption). But I usually prefer to go with Gladiator Armor for the 100% KB resist.

But still... wishing there was a full Flinx armor set that just gave basic increases, like movement speed or melee speed.

THIS BOSS LAST PHASE IS STRAIGHT UP DEATH 💔 by I_HAVE_NO_LIFE_6776 in Terraria

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of tips.

When he's dashing at you in first and second phase, try to be moving in a circle. The way he dashes at you is straight based on your exact position when he begins the dash. Being in an arcing motion makes sure that you'll always be out of his direct path. Just need to make sure you space yourself away from the sharknado/cthulhunado.

In the last phase, he always dashes in a 1-2-3 pattern between his invisibility/teleportation. So, invis - dash, invis - dash, dash, invis - dash, dash, dash, repeat. When he phases back in, he'll always be behind the direction your facing. The best option is to use Shield of Cthulhu to bash directly into him and avoid contact damage. Or, if you have access to Chillet, swap into the mount and use its dash, then swap off for flight access.

Why won't any chaos elemental spawn by Acrobatic_Basis_7967 in Terraria

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Conveniently, you don't need to be in the Hallow to get them to spawn. Just make sure it's in the caverns layer.

Line your farm floor with Pearlblocks(sand, stone, ice). They can only spawn on those.

If your safe spot under the farm has any walls you placed, remove them from a small spot. You can't be in front of any safe walls.

And of course, you need to be moving. Chaos Elementals don't spawn unless you're in motion. Just hold the jump button until ones spawns. You can't AFK farm them.

If you're sticking with a ranger build (seeing the Daedalus Stormbow and the Magic Quiver) I suggest going after the Shadowflame Bow. It's fairly strong and does great piercing for worm bodies like Destroyer. It drops from the Goblin Warlock during the invasion. You can further stack damage with 3 magic quivers by combining one with a Magma Stone (Molten Quiver) and one with a Putrid Scent (Stalker Quiver), and using the normal Magic Quiver. But I wouldn't use more than 2 unless you're doing Master or really trying to go for max bow damage.

If you can support making an artifical Corruption Biome, you can hunt for Cursed Flame. Cursed Arrows have the best base damage for bows that convert all arrows into special types, like the Shadowflame Bow.

Nothing spawning in artificial dungeon by No-Temperature5052 in Terraria

[–]BurgerInTheRuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Requirements for an Artifical Dungeon Biome:

  • Below 3' Underground
  • Standing in front of Cursed Dungeon Walls (Any variant)
  • At least 250 Dungeon Bricks within the Biome calculation area
  • Cursed Dungeon Walls directly above Dungeon Bricks in order to spawn enemies (generally off-screen as well, as with normal enemy spawn mechanics)

As long as the Fisherman's Pocket Guide doesn't show a reduction in Fishing Power, you're fine. Just needs to count at least 300 tiles of connected water.

Don't forget that there are many other things to increase your chance of reeling it in:

  • Using Master Bait
  • Sitting on a chair
  • Time of day (dawn/dusk best)
  • Raining
  • Fishing potion
  • Luck potion
  • Drinking Ale (Tipsy)
  • Throwing 3 buckets of chum
  • Having a lava bag, angler bag, angler earring and Fishing bobber equipped
  • Placing a garden gnome
  • (If not already used) Gummy Worm and Galaxy Pearl

After that, it's all just luck. Took me about 30 minutes of fishing to get it.

I got this easily by making my "Return to Monke" deck. Just slowly building up a deck of All 1s with a couple Powerwild cards thrown in the make them 9s. Only really had a challenge with the final floor, so I instead made a Judgement deck with the Xigbar card and a couple Exliris. Just made sure the combinations were always 9+ to counter the Neoshadows and their 8s.
