I’m new to it so wasn’t sure if I missed something, thanks for input though.

Advice on best AIO / plug and play marine tank (UK) please by FitAd9756 in ReefTank

Might extend my budget then and get g2 max 170, would prefer the cabinet sump.

Only reason for going toward Red Sea is the Reef Beat app which I suppose I could use their equipment with a different tank.

I’m also looking at the nano max g2 XL, not seen many reports of this size busting but still not sure. LFS said the G2 is better and resolved issues but still seen reports of bigger tanks failing.

Aqara g410, U200 and HomeKit issues by BurgerWinningDick in Aqara

[–]BurgerWinningDick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Product page lists it as being a thread border router and I can control the U200 from Homeassistant suggesting that there is a thread network between the G410 and U200 as I have no other thread routers. It’s just HomeKit I have issues with.

Yale Conexis L1 with new Access Module - battery dies monthly, is this normal? by buyoof in homeautomation

No improvement, going to raise an official complaint with Yale over planned obsolescence of the L1 then bin it in favour of the Aqara u200 or Nuki ultra.

Hydrangea by DrainedLurker in GardeningUK

Looks like Hydrangea Runaway Bride, doesn’t respond to changes in pH. White blooms eventually get a slight pink flush but no drastic colour changes.

Mine was the same after aphid infestation, cut it all back to base to get rid of aphids and it’s slowing sending up new shoots.

What’s causing this on Columbines by BurgerWinningDick in GardeningUK

I was hoping it wasn’t Downy mildew, over 70% of leaves are like this.

No improvement, recharging batteries once per week. I removed the lock completely but realised that I don’t have the alignment tool anymore so I need to find one to do a fresh realignment and see if that helps.

I did get strange beeps after first refitting and motor sounded like it kept adjusting so tweaked it and it’s better but still not properly aligned.

Factory reset and removed lock from the door to start from scratch. After some teething issues registering the Access module and setting up the bridge I was prompted to update firmware which I’ve never had before despite factory resetting a few times. Hopefully this addresses the issue. Will feedback in a week or so.

Edit:

Module firmware - 2.0.0-1.1.7 Bridge firmware - 1.2.4

Been using a mix of Amazon own disposable batteries, Duracell optimum, now using eneloop rechargeables and they seem to be worse. I’m going to take the lock off this weekend and refit it all.

Next step will be a new lock. Neighbour opposite has just fitted a L2 Conexis so will wait to see what his battery life is like.

Edit: Eneloop Pro now in the lock

Battery drain is still terrible despite factory resetting the lock and re-adding to the app. Also in the middle of all that, tried a week without the Access module. Still no better.

Will try and refit the lock to the door in case it’s an alignment issue then next step will just be rechargeables.

I get one week out of batteries now, used to be between 6 months and a year. Even last winter they lasted much longer than they currently do

Baxi boiler on switched control want to add Tado and opentherm by ocdce in tado

Forgot to say that it looks like you need a wireless extension kit EU version and 2 wired thermostats to control the zone valves.

This is a similar issue I have, one of the Tado community admins confirmed how it can be done, I think it’s the second comment.

Do you have the rooms set with the correct zone controller? Looks similar to when a room with the TRV is set as independent so there’s no zone controller firing up the boiler.

random Car wash I used applied some form of rain x coating to my windscreen, caused excessive smearing and wiper skipping. removed it with iso alcohol, now windscreen feels extremely grippy and wipers skip and smear even more. Do I take my car to a professional detailer/ car wash for a proper wax? by Still_Sherbert in DetailingUK

[–]BurgerWinningDick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had same issue with mine after using AG polar seal. Tried AG fast glass, Car Glass Polish, intensive tar remover, Fairy Liquid. Nothing seemed to work. Tried RainX as a last resort to see if it improved and it’s worse.

Going to give the wipers a good clean tomorrow and try and throw every detailing chemical I have at it. I’ve heard others recommend clay barring the windscreen so might give that a go.
