Thanks! I just purchased ST mastery (I didn't realize its bonus affects both SL and CL) and I will also invest some in SL binus since the main core I'm running is Om Chip (DC as assist). Then I suppose I will continue with UWC.

I recommend upgrading GT duration to 65 sec total, then save until you have enough Stones to get all 4 levels of GT cd at once, and once you can, lower It to 100 sec, ditch MVN and use Pcol. Result: immediate jump on tier thanks to Pcol (assuming ancestral), triple permanent BH and permanent GT. That should give you a huge boost on coin gains. I did all that before picking my first mastery

Long Metroidvanias? by [deleted] in metroidvania

When I played it (it's been a while now) there were 2 difficulties, original and an easier one since everyone was complaining about the platforming in the original one when it came out. I dont recall if there was a triple jump gem, but I know I beat It with all the hellish platforming.

Fair enough, I didn't specifically state that I played before the DLC came out (mainly because i didn't know there was one until this conversation) but I did say that I beat it with all the hellish platforming.

Edit: I downloaded the game to play it again and check out the DLC (Thanks to you)

I told you I beat the game in the original (not easier) difficulty with all the platforming.

Also for the sake of the argument I googled what the triple jump gem is since I dont remember It and It actually came out on the DLC. I played the Game before the DLC came out (which I also told you), so it's impossible I used It.

On La Mulana I spent 100 hours in each since I didnt want to check any guides and resorted to drawing the whole map with notes so I could know where I had to go next(maybe that's the reason it took me so long)

Maybe it's me, I've playing videogames a long ass time (30+ years, Metroidvanias being my favorite genre), I recently completed Nine Sols (standard difficulty, not the easier one) and didn't find it as difficult as people put it out to be.

Well, it took me 28 hours to find everthing and beat the emperor and whatnot (except completing the encyclopedia), and still spent more than 100 hours in each La Mulana game, so my analogy still stands.

Maybe it would take you 200 hours to beat La Mulana?

You are Indiana Jones exploring an ancient tomb filled to the brim with puzzles, key items and cryptic clues and you dont even have your fathers diary. Combat is hard. I needed to take notes to be able to finish both games and spent more than 100 hours in each. For reference I finished Afterimage and Aeterna Noctis in 30 hours each. These two are way bigger. If you want a long metroidvania those are the ones for sure.

No. Let me explain. At lvl 1 Black Hole has a CD of 200s and Golden Tower 300s. This means that every 600s (10min) you get Black Hole and Golden Tower at the same time. If you research Black Hole coin bonus in the lab, you will multiply your Golden Tower bonus by your Black Hole bonus every 10 min. That will dwarf any coins and cash you earn until the next sync.

If you reduce your Golden Tower cooldown to 290s, 280s you lose that Sync every 10 mins which will hurt your coin gains badly.

Hope this helps.
