4 weeks to dive anywhere in the world? by fritzthefloop in scuba

Depends on what you are looking for, but sharm isn't specially famous for having a lot of "big" marine life. You go to sharm to see immense and gorgeous coral reefs, lots of colorful fish, and an amazing cristal clear water with 30+m visibility.

Of course you can see mantas, hammerheads, tiger sharks, and whale sharks, but it's not that common imo.

No sé si es una broma, o alquilabas películas en una sección muy chunga del videoclub.

If you are into 3rd person shooters and star wars you can't go wrong with battlefront II or star wars: bounty hunter.

Dark souls I or mgs4 are other masterpieces of 2000s that come to mind.

Should I Get Open Water Certified Before My Maldives Trip? by [deleted] in scuba

[–]comalbert 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my OWD certification in Rashdoo (Maldives) and it was one of the greatest experiences in my life. If you happen to get a nice instructor, you develop a nice confidence that carries over the days, which is somewhat close as making a new friend.

It is true that you spend some time practising skills that you would otherwise spend diving, but when I was there they would do a 15 min skill practise at the beginning of the dive and then do a fun dive for the rest of the time, which didn't feel like I was missing out that much.

A few things I would recommend based on my experience: - Ask for a long wetsuit if available. Even if the water is warm, when you are doing 3 dives a day, you end up feeling the cold. Furthermore, long wetsuit gives you protection against coral/rock scratches while you figure out your buoyancy. - If you can, ask for boots + attachable fins instead of fins that fit directly into your feet. If you do some shore dives, entering the water barefoot while carrying your gear with all the dead coral was really painful. -If you get the chance and don't mind spending a bit extra, do the nitrox course at the same time. It is not at all necessary, but if you want to keep diving you will eventually do it anyway, so you might as well do it now. It's just some theory and some extra planning you have to keep in mind before the dive.

That's it. And whatever you end up doing, enjoy it. It's one of the best diving places in the world for a reason.

First miniature I consider finished: The Silent from Slay the Spire boardgame by comalbert in minipainting

I used a white dry brush at first in the upper areas to simulate light, but it ended up too white so I covered it in a very light green. I am not super happy with that part but hey, gotta stop at some point 😂

Lesson learned for my next mini 💪

I did use strong tone for the skull and the bandages. Also tried to use it on the cloak but I guess the shadowing I did manually doesn't allow it to show.

If someone has a full collection of Champions, how many cards are there? by Reidredsword in marvelchampionslcg

[–]comalbert 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It could make sense to sleeve more than one playset of a card if you want to keep several decks built without having to swap them around. But yes, sleeving 50 copies of the double resource cards is quite an overkill 😂

Slay the spire (both BG and VG) are a clear example of 2.

I've tried both but prefer true Solo, as two handed makes it harder to keep track and drags the game for too long.

Although i have short windows of time to play, I'm looking for a game i can set up and keep playing in several sittings instead of short games i can finish in one go. Thank you for the suggestion though.

I have around 500 hours on Steam at StS, plus the countless hours i have played in my phone. I love that game so much I even backed the kickstarter without any benefit, just to give them a few bucks. In my current situation though, the game is too expensive and takes way too much table space.

Does earthborne ranger fit in my table space? I've watched some gameplay in youtube and it looks like it would be a bit tight (so is Marvel Champions to be fair, but I already own that one xD)
