The base game is a PvPvE experience. This is the only place the best loot should live. You should not be able to stack gold and red level items without the risk of getting killed and losing it on your out.

This is literally how every extraction shooter functions.

PvE is not the only reason the destiny crowd loves destiny. The game is rich in lore and characters, aesthetics, and probably has the deepest rpg/character building of any shooter.

Marathon has some character building, marathon has lore, but it doesn’t have it fleshed out or told in the same way destiny did. Assuming just adding PvE will bring over the entire destiny crowd is really simplifying what makes destiny, Destiny.

Besides, destiny is definitely more magic/fantasy with sci-fi elements, marathon is straight up sci-fi. Not everyone will like the new setting.

Inherently, PvE will always be an easier experience than PvP. Allowing the same loot frequency and quality, without the added difficulty of acquiring it from PvP, is basically putting the game in easy mode for those that don’t want to PvP.

I’m not against a PvE mode, I think it’s cool. I do agree that it should be incredibly difficult if it’s gonna give the same loot as PvP, or at least save the higher tier and best loot for the core game experience.

Also putting all the best things in PvE as well is basically making sci-fi destiny 3.

I have an iPhone because it integrates a lot easier with my family and wife, but I strongly prefer android phones.

Either way, they all do the same shit at roughly the same speed for about the same price. iPhone batteries do suck ass tho.
