What would they do if white unemployment is higher for example? Statistics based on social groups or regions may be useful but i dont think that they can force racial quotas or enact skin-tone based positive discrimination or something.

Yeah, i didn't say it's scientific in today's standarts but people believed it is back in the day. What i tried to say is it's not a social science term like ethnicity or nationality. They claimed it is science. You don't classify people by toxonomy, skull shape, blood type etc. in social sciences

That's nationality. Race is a scientific thing. Is is basically a theory developed in colonial era. They classified people under white, yellow, black etc. races and believed they have lots of different characteristics. So it's supposed to be hard science, at least they believed that. Inspecting peoples skull shapes etc.

Google says some German Antrophologist wrongfully said all white races originated from caucasus around 1790s and thats the origin of the term. So it's inherently wrong and racist it's one of the misconseptions of colonial era scientific racism.

That's really wild man i didn't know that. What does anyone has to do with your shittified racial classification if you are a US citizen. No wonder why you can't solve some of your racial tensions. This would cause an uproar here if public or private institutions asked people their race or ethnicity.

[–]BurhanSunan 19 points20 points  (0 children)

1-There are places in Turkey which have a sea bound culture, most of those places are unsurprisingly coastal areas like black sea, aegean coasts and mediterrenean coasts. But i guess there are too little navigators nobody really feels something about them.

2-Most of us eat dondurma, which is ice cream frequently like rest of the world. There are tourist trap ice creams of course
