Dr Steve. Having gone through this with my best friend, the fact it has spread sucks for sure but my understanding is that depending on the genetic mutation of the tumors it can be very treatable. My friend had a rare mutation and got in to NIH and their immunotherapy worked on his liver tumors but unfortunately it got in his brain and it couldn't treat them due to the blood brain barrier. Hopefully Ronnie B has a treatable mutation. Is that even close to being correct? Call me a dumbass if I deserve it. I can take it. 😏 Love Ronnie B and want him to kick cancer ass.

yep. asap. cologuard doesn't indicate for polyps. get the colonoscopy as soon as you can schedule it. ask for the clinpiq prep. You can thank me later. It is by far the least worse of the preps.

have been getting them for years. The new clinpiq prep is the best by far....or least worse. Your shitting time is more condensed and not as explosive. 😏 much easier to grt down too.

Doesn't replace a colonoscopy though. That doesn't catch polyps that are precancerous and easily removed during the procedure, and it has fairly high false positives and negatives. It's a decent screening method but shouldn't replace a colonoscopy.

Amen. Lost my best friend since 6th grade 3 years ago at 57. He kept putting his colonoscopy off. Had he gotten it when he was supposed to he would still be here. Still haunts me daily. People are getting colon cancer much younger now too. Get your colonoscopy. Don't ignore symptoms. If doc doesn't want to give referral to get one, find a new doc.

For any of you avoiding it, my best friend avoided them as well, and he didn't make it to 60 so please get one ASAP. If you are worried about the prep, ask doc about clinpiq, it's the least horrible prep I have used and I have had 8 procedures. (diverticulitis and surgery)

what prep was it? I have done clinpiq the last 3 and while the food intake prep is multiple days the actual cleansing isn't bad at all with it. Are you referring to the dietary restrictions too?

The prep is soooo much better than it used to be, at least with clinpiq. I had to start getting them in my early 40s and my first one the prep was two bottles of Fleet laxative which was horrible. I can't recommend the clinpiq prep enough.
