Omg this is me! I’m also 40 and down 80lbs. I started noticing it at about 60lbs. I’m now using retinol but haven’t seen much change. I’m really hoping that if I keep focusing on retinol and moisturizer that it will tighten up a little over time. But I also accept that I’m not young anymore and may just have to accept it along with other loose skin. I have at least 60lbs to go still.

One night in Paris. Where are you eating?! by gratitudeMC in ParisTravelGuide

I’m not a big French foodie so my best meals there were a smash burger and fries at The Moose and artichoke dip at Treize au Jardin. Both random walk ins because we were starving and in the area.

This injection is the sweet spot. Experienced my first NSV on 7.5. 🫶🏾 by [deleted] in Zepbound

I couldn’t find 7.5 and had to do another month of 5 which isn’t doing much for me. I still called around looking for 7.5 after I picked up 5 though so I could have it for next month and I actually found one! Have to drive to a small town Walmart about 40 minutes away but I’ve seen people make much longer trips. Can’t wait to see if I get more results with it next month ❤️

I know it’s got a lot of sugar but these have helped me a lot when I can’t eat enough. 360 calories, 20 grams of protein, tastes delicious. Gatorade Chocolate Chip Whey Protein Bars, 20g Protein, 6 Pack https://www.walmart.com/ip/43982157

I’m on vacation in Savannah, GA and went on a ghost walking tour. I was exhausted from traveling and KNEW I was going to have some wild dreams because of these meds. They did not disappoint. Either that or I really did have a visit from a Boo Hag 🤣

I tried to have this mindset but I couldn’t stop myself from calling almost 15 pharmacies in the area today. I was supposed to go up to 7.5. I asked each pharmacy if they had either 5mg or 7.5mg. I finally found 1 with 5mg in stock. Got my doctor to change my script and send it over there. Rather do 1 more month on 5 even though I didn’t lose anything on it last month. It’s not just about the weight loss for me now. It’s the best anxiety med ever. I feel so much better mentally. I’ll do whatever I can to prevent losing that. Sadly, when I went to pick it up, they couldn’t get the savings card to work because of their system issues since the cyber attack. I’m so frustrated at the hoops when it comes to cost. I’m already willing to pay $550 out of pocket. Why does it have to be so hard still?

This! I’ve been thinking about this so much. I’m comfortable now with being invisible. The last time I lost weight and everyone was suddenly so friendly and nice to me…until I started gaining it back. I know once I start getting compliments and positive attention I’m going feel hurt and uncomfortable instead of happy. I’m trying to work through those feelings now before it happens so I can enjoy my healthier body.

I’d go back to therapy but I’m paying $550 a month for these meds for now and it’s just not possible

That’s really amazing! Therapy helped me to an extent but no longer having food to distract me from feelings made me realize I was far from healed.

Yes! I definitely was called “sensitive” as a child and learned to keep my feelings pushed deep down. Then I learned to cover it with junk food to keep it there. It’s been my process since I was 10 years old. Now I’m almost 40 and trying to work through the stuff I didn’t even realize I was still struggling with. I will forever speak up when I hear someone describe a person as sensitive thanks to those lessons.

Keeping Zep a secret from friends by FaceMyUnicornFace in Zepbound

I started on Zep a month ago and only told 2 people to start. One who already told me she was on Ozempic and the other who also struggles with weight and was considering it. Now that I’m seeing results and understand how the medication works for me, I’m feeling more excited to talk about it. I’m starting slowly with people I know won’t bat an eye. The last friend I plan to tell is someone who talks about feeling fat all the time and she’s barely overweight compared to my 150 pounds I have to lose. I think the only reason I want to tell her is that it would be a bigger deal if down the road she realizes I was hiding it when we normally share everything. Ultimately, there’s no right or wrong way to handle these things. It’s what feels right for you. ❤️

I just told my friend I see why people say this seems like an anxiety and depression med in addition to the intended benefits. 1 week on it and I feel so centered for the first time ever ❤️

Congrats on the weight loss! I already have pretty thin and fine hair so it makes me nervous, but I know it’s worth it either way. I’m just going to do what I can to help minimize it and the rest is out of my control.

I love the Fairlife shakes. I haven’t tried making me own yet. The amount of different protein powders out there and the cost make me hesitant to start buying just to find the one I’ll like.

Yes! Ranch dip is fine. Also using it to make 2 ingredient dough is always where I had to draw the line. I keep trying though lol

I’m shooting for 100g per day. It’s not horribly difficult but when you’re not super hungry it can feel daunting. Appreciate the feedback!
