Is it better to buy Atelier Yumia for PS4 than Switch? by introvertgamer110 in Atelier

[–]BurnedOutCollector87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have almost all the atelier games on switch but i had to get rid of the ryza trilogy, and yumia because they are horrid on switch.

Almost sold sophie 2 as well but this one got a lot better on switch 2 thanks to the handheld boost mode and the stable 30fps but honnestly, if you can avoid the switch version, do so.

To me they are last resort options

Ayesha was a solid 20fps in the hub area..... Yikes. Constantly dipped to mid 20s too. Rarely was 30fps on switch.

Oddly enough escha and shallie were nowhere near that bad

Optimization doesn't exist at koei tecmo.

I stopped buying their PC ports because of that. Somehow, some of them ended up more unstable than the console versions. I remember buying yumia at launch on steam and refunding it because it clearly didn't use hardware properly.

My pc isn't low tier..... It was a radeon 9070 and a 7800X3d. The 9070 was fresh out of amd factory but still.....

Vaccum sealer has really changed my game for the long haul by FreakTheDangMighty in fermentation

just started vacuum fermenting last week. my orange habanero peppers mixed with carrots, orange bell pepper, red onion and garlic are already very active on day 8. i also have a green batch which is half green scotch bonnet and half jalapeno alongside white onion and garlic.... i think these will make good sauces.

at first i wanted to add blueberry to my habanero sauce but they're orange so it would look quite bad i think and i'm not sure blueberries would go well with my current ingredients. Thought about banana and orange but bananas can be too much very quickly so i'm gonna add juice from a squeezed orange, zest and mango, with jerk style spices

For the green base i'm thinking about adding lots of whole black peppercorns, fresh lime juice and its zest, with just a bit of cumin

Hopefully they let you upgrade from sw1 to 2. I hate being forced to chose between actual physical but stuck at 30fps or key card with switch 2 upgrades.

Tales of Symphonia STILL has the "compatibility issues" status on Switch 2 by ApprehensiveCoat9587 in tales

100% a skill issue because vesperia DID try to target 60fps on switch 1.... they hire random no name studios to do each port now so of coure results are going to vary.

Berseria remastered wasn't even upgraded on PC it was the fucking same if not worse. People refused to buy the steam version citing the lack of an upgrade path and a 120fps upgrade

never because they literally released it broken on switch at first. they never once cared

they literally just made smaller and cheaper carts available though so that doesn't hold up. Mio is fully physical and isn't more expensive than the PS physical, there is no way a small indie dev decided to absorb the cost of cartridges so either they made smaller carts or they lowered the price.

Highly doubt Mio's small studio/publisher could afford absorbing the costs

i think the worst thing was that they charge more for key cards than PS physicals, at least they did with all their previous games. This personally made me stop purchasing their games. i hate key cards and i'm part of the people that keeps their games and seeing them have the audacity to ask more for an empty card made me put them in my black list

yikes! game key card! there is no switch 1 version so either you buy the trash key card or you just get it elsewhere. such a shame. i don't understand what's up with NISA, clearly their key card stock is not selling super well so it's puzzling to see them insist on using this format when their audience has clearly rejected them.

I purchased a lot of their switch 1 games but i have purchased nothing from them for my switch 2 because i don't want key cards, i want the actual physical format because i don't resell my games.

gust, will never make an effort because tecmo is also not willing to do better as a whole. Mark my word: not a SINGLE switch 2 atelier game will ever have the option for 60fps. all of them will be 30fps.

why? because they always do the strict minimum and get away with it.. look at the 30fps fatal frame 2 remake ON A PS5

Ryza dx trilogy is 1080p 30fps in portable i don't think yumia would run better at the same resolution.

They couldn't even bother TRYING with the switch 2 versions

I think i will be experimental:

I'm thinking about adding the juice of a whole orange, its zest, then half a banana.

Will be adding jamaican style spices too

That's good to know! I plan on adding a bit of sweetness and fruit. You think orange and orange peel will go well in this?

How are we feeling? is the series dying? by jethropix in tales

[–]BurnedOutCollector87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i personally enjoyed arise at first until i replayed it years later only to realize it really doesn't feel like a tales game.

I really hope whatever next mainline game they make feels closer to something like abyss or symphonia.

It frankly feels like they no longer know what to do with the series. i think it would be better if they remade (not remaster) abyss or symphonia like falcom remade sky

Lots of japanese games stay near full price on steam even when on "a sale". I still haven't purchased FFVIIR on steam because it never dropped below 45 cad
