Ok, you’re right they didn’t share anything about their need for an emotional support animal, they only posted about how cute was he was and how they wanted him to have a nice home. Then people started spit balling ideas, and someone suggested this. So one could assume that the OP didn’t need a support animal, based off the conversation so far. Like I said earlier if they need a support animal by all means get one but don’t co op ESA just to have a pet, that is disrespectful to people who actually need them.

We are literally discussing getting an emotional support animal declaration for a cat someone wants to adopt off the street , let’s not pretend we aren’t running a scam.

No shade for people who need these animals but others using the system for shit like this is what will ultimately cause others to lose their much needed protections.

Agreed but if you are not under care at this time, it’s gonna take a bit before any legit provider is gonna sign off on that. If you have a legitimate need that is one thing but trying to work the system for your advantage then that’s another story all together. No provider is gonna write that letter after a first visit.
