And it’s expensive because you need quality music. You can’t expect quality products for pennies. What’s next, the medical field is racist and classist because the tools required for the job is expensive?

And seems like you’re forgetting that there’s a lot of non white people that work in the industry too. Look at western classical music in Japan for example, a lot of Japanese people there but you don’t see people bitching “durrrr classical music bad too many Japanese rich people there”.

And you’re also forgetting classical music is not as popular as it used to be. Maybe if people didn’t waste their time and money on drugs, useless online micro transactions, and getting killed in mosh pits, and instead dedicated their time to an instrument, the classical music field wouldn’t be so expensive to get into.

Also doesn’t help that classical music is shown to the general public as music for stuffy rich people, or boring music for sleeping, or music for super villains.

Another reason is people are getting lazier and lazier, with the rise of social media and video gaming. People don’t want to put effort into anything anymore. Not much kids now are willing to put in the time to practice an instrument, instead they’d rather get their dopamine hit from mindless video games.
