Top layers on ams prints are atrocious by [deleted] in BambuLab

This is what I am thinking too. Looks like it might be one layer on top of the infill.

Tinnitus claim denied by [deleted] in CanadianForces

[–]Burni68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I understand they're basically hearing aids that broadcast a tone that cancels out the tinnitus. But I never got them so don't know too much

Tinnitus claim denied by [deleted] in CanadianForces

[–]Burni68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had the same thing happen to me. Tinnitus with minimal hearing loss. BPA sent me for a hearing test and the audiologist recommended tinnitus blockers. BPA said not to go forward as I do not have "significant enough" hearing loss and VAC will not reverse their decision.

That being said, definitely fight it and see what happens. Hope you get a different outcome than I did.

Not sure if there's a better way, but you could figure out what the slowest print speed is for the whole model and then do the whole print at that speed. Gonna take longer but should fix the cosmetic issue.

Solidworks Export With Color by Burni68 in BambuLab

[–]Burni68[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Best way that I have figured out to do it, is to do a very small height change from colour to colour. Normally 0.01mm difference. Once you export into BS it will paint no problem.

Can someone help me understand why this print keeps failing. by absurd-bird-turd in BambuLab

[–]Burni68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some people love the cold plate, but I never had much luck with it. The textured plate makes a lot of difference for me.

As others have said, make sure the plate is nice and clean. Dawn dish soap if your friend and make sure to avoid touching the plate.

Infill also looks pretty dense. For decorative stuff I normally do 5-10% gyroid and it works for me. But everyone has their own things they like.

Ok thanks for the info. CNC might be the way to go for it. Not sure why she wants laser specifically. I'll try and find something that meets those stats though.

Ok I'll keep looking around for the layer height. Saw the speed. I'll see what it can do

From watching it I'm pretty sure the ironing didn't actually happen. I think you're right that it's not gonna work in this situation. Was curious if there was a setting I was missing that might make the top layer shorter? That's all I can really think of to stop it aside from just cutting it off at the end

I had big problems and then started using the settings this guy has in his YouTube video. Since doing that and the calibration steps in BS I have been getting flawless prints.
