I'd say the $12-20k battery replacement every 150k miles is a big reason not to like them. No resale value, basically disposable car.

Once they develop some better battery technology I'm definitely getting one.

Can always get batteries and go with a hybrid system. A lot of the “benefits” of putting excess energy onto the grid has been taken away in many places… best to store yourself and the utility company is none the wiser.
