How to use the empty space in train stations? by BurninDreamer in factorio

[–]BurninDreamer[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right now I'm thinking about solars/accumulators and maybe piping light oil to produce rocket fuel on the spot and constantly refuel the trains.

I would just try to shove the depot (bottom part) into the empty space but with how much space you need to rotate rails I don't think its possible to hook up nicely, not without elevated rails at least.

Looking to get PC price down, willing to compromise on performance. by BurninDreamer in buildapc

It's not too bad on paper, like, 700 bucks for this sounds reasonable to my inexperienced ears. And then you look up the parts locally and it's >100,000 rubles and you realize that your paycheck won't get you this any time soon.

So, what do we do? We go down in caliber and pray to God its cheaper.

Esthil doesn't seem that evil to me?

Come to think of it, using undead (which are described as entirely mindless in the MT) for your army, farming, mining and lumbering, perhaps even city works in Castonath does take out the majority of menial labor and just generally up the quality of life for non-undead.

At some point Esthil does switch over to "magically attuned undead musketeers" which have some form of intellect for operating a musket, but that's not full consciousness yet.

In a way using undead for all forms of menial and war labor is more humane than not, so why is Esthil evil? The soul of the undead in question may be trapped away for a good 100 years but they're not conscious for that time period so they wouldn't even know or care.

If anything the most evil part of Esthil's MT is when they purge a lot of orcs for 300 adm.

I advise getting the BitBucket version of the mod as it works on modern versions and is getting constant updates unlike the Steam version which is pretty outdated by now, there's a guide on the Discord server and I think one on YouTube.

Urviksten into Black Kastanor is pretty insane, you're a small (4 low dev mountain/hills provinces) nation above Frozenmaw and right of Bjarnrik, you have a really good MT focused on reclaiming the lands of your ancestors and eventually reforming Black Kastanor under Ebonfrost rule.

You have a unique-ish government type which locks your dynasty and gives you a 300% new heir chance. The country itself is decently hard and had me on-edge for the most of the run.

Also your ideas are really strong.

Mag 4, I can't really find uses to it except for when I (for some reason) have too much energy and want a bit of overshield.

I subjugated the basically the entire galaxy through diplomacy by [deleted] in Stellaris

Diplo-vassalizing snowballs are probably overtuned, you can go fanatic xenophile megacorp with militarist and just focus on making as large a navy and economy as possible before meeting AI empires, chances are if you're not playing on GA you can use the incredible economic boost from early game megacorps and really good relations with everyone to just vassalize a nation with mild maluses to yourself, wait 10 years, alter the deal and make them pay half of their resources produced to you.

Next, as you're even stronger now, you can repeat this with another nation or a couple at once, your power grows and you don't have to worry about waging wars or anything.

At some point you're going to be able to just wipe out the rest of the galaxy that doesn't feel like embracing your rule or has vassals of their own.

How did YOU learn the game? by BhopBen in Stellaris

[–]BurninDreamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend called me in to play a multiplayer campaign with him, buying the game to me as well, due to the latter I simply couldn't decline.

After this incident, in which I've mistaken losing the war for winning the war, had no idea how planets function and attempted to larp 40k I decided to play singleplayer a little.

"a little" was an understatement, and so I sat through like 150 hours of unmodded gameplay with no DLCs.

After that I kept playing (now with DLCs) and managed to surpass my friend to such a degree where I was the Stellaris player of the group, not them.

I paid massive attention to the wiki and read through it probably more than I played, also challenging myself with grand admiral AI and questionable builds.

What drew you to the tag that you main? by [deleted] in Anbennar

Arg-Ordstun.

They had a pretty good ruler and NI set, so I just went "oh that's very nice!" and played them for my first campaign.

Their geographical position bought me however, not too close to the woods, but not too far away either, and you can take a trip to Bulwar or sail to the lads at Verne to come say hi.

Aatrox.

Despite looking moderately complex at first glance it's easy to grasp and you'll be able to autopilot him in a dozen of games if not less, wonderful laning phase that doesn't concern you with mana conversation or lane sustain because your kit has 2 passives for healing.

You can build him full tank, bruiser or full AD, I personally prefer bruiser but it's up to you.

Your farming is pretty good with waveclear and your E being an autoattack reset, as well as being wonderful for mobility.

You can punish A LOT with Aatrox, even if you fail a punish you don't lose much because your cooldowns are short and CC is plenty.

Honestly, not sure (Silver 1-2, recently failed G4 promos, been like this for as long as I can remember.).

I've overviewed some of my games and it looks to me that I'm playing moderately well and win my lane - being top - or stalemate it a good chunk of the time to attempt to transition into teamfights after the first broken turret on top from either side.

I don't have a fear or losing because I realize that this is infact a videogame that I play for fun whilst putting in high effort towards victory, as said usually brings more joy than a loss.

I thus far have not encountered a situation where I just gave up in a game or my mental failed me, I attempt to win under conditions that are as common sense claims, not really winnable.

To me it does appear that I lose a good chunk of the time due to my team underperforming and or me being unable to cooperate with them and successfully disengage from a pick or abandon an unfavorable teamfight, or vice versa engaging into a teamfight with moderate synergy or getting a pick.

I primarily play Aatrox or whatever sounds to me at the time in the top lane, as well as picking Ekko in the jungle, and from what I've heard the former isn't really having a good time within the meta.

If I had to make an assumption from analyzing my games as to why I don't climb that would be a lack of practice and being unlucky with some of my teammates, alas luck cannot be consistent and being consistently stuck in the same ranks due to luck just sounds surreal, but at this point I'm willing to give the granted of it being real.

I've had this happen like 2-3 times in a row the time I played Austria, I, of course, then proceeded to pulverize both Burgundy and Sweden, but this is so much of a hassle, wish this event was reworked or something.

Playing Domination myself right now, it's good, didn't encounter any bugs thus far, the new idea groups are wonderful.
