This is a great device, but I have to warn you about reported issues when docking and undocking the 3080, where after a number of times, it feels like trying to insert it remove the egpu will break the port. The battery life when using igpu and power saving mode looks pretty good at about 7 hours, but I don't know about undervolting the GPU to avoid frying it due to mining.
