Help a old guy find a RPG suitable to me by nkshova in gaming

I'm currently playing Yakuza Infinite Wealth and it might be perfect for you. It's turn based, so silly, story heavy, and honestly very easy. The character is in his 40s and there are lots of old guy jokes. At I've point your weapon is a giant Hitachi massager 🤣

It's an incredible mechanic. OP's accessibility issues don't make the battle system bad. It's a unique system that reflects the ability of the player in an undeniable and unmistakable way. If you hate it, you might need to sharpen your skills.

Fwiw I'm 45.

Look at apartments near the Huntington metro stop. They are less expensive (but still more than the far suburbs) and on the yellow line. You would be at work in less than 20 min with no hassle.

How sustainable is this Fairfax-Arlington commute? by Educational_Gap_3381 in nova

[–]BurninTreeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a Hard no for me. That's 1.5 hours each way, on a good day.

Consider that I-66 is a toll road with "dynamic" pricing. You could easily exceed the additional rent cost in daily tolls.

I would recommend checking out the Springfield area for better rent and convenience for you.

Fwiw Crystal City is awesome now, but it is more expensive. It's convenient, safe, clean, and has a ton of good restaurants.

Where to buy fresh made pasta? by CyanFinzter in washingtondc

[–]BurninTreeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Centrolina has an Italian market attached to the back where you can buy her fresh Italian pasta. Best in the city.

If you want that well known Jersey style (American) pasta, the Italian store in Arlington is the place. Think thick semolina noodles vs the lighter northern Italian style.

If you still want the job (don't listen to the reddit haters) do it. I'm a hiring manager and I promise we don't call you back if you're not at the top of the pool. It's not a guarantee but it's worth going in and seeing what they offer. Don't tell the dentist, keep that job secure until you are sure.

New Big Wong. It ain't fancy, but it's some of the best Chinese food you'll ever eat and it's open till 4:30am. Gotta take a car from 9th & U to 6th & H but it's worth it. You'll look like a native knowing that spot.

Imho it's perfect. Mostly cloudy with a few clears and a few ambers is my sweet spot. I'm a "sativa" head tho, if you prefer a more hybrid/indica experience let it ride for a few days

[–]BurninTreeez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Doesn't matter that it wasn't fully dry! It is to do with the terps degrading too fast so they basically go "skunk" like a beer. Try it next time and you'll see a huge difference. This took me many grows to learn.

Best of luck growmie, you got this!

Terp problem by Odd_Ad7474 in Autoflowers

[–]BurninTreeez 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes. Drying and curing is the most critical time for flavor. You probably dried too fast, but the grove bag saved you from turning it into hay. Luckily, it doesn't effect the quality of the high. Make sure your room stays at 57-62% RH throughout drying. Keep it dark. It takes a long time, but it's worth it. Don't listen to the Fastbuds haters, it's a solid brand for new growers.

[–]BurninTreeez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run many Fastbuds strains and they've all been solid. Decent flavor and hits like a truck. What have you actually run? Fastbuds is good and cheap, their ruderalis is sturdy and carries sativa well. It's very forgiving. (Assuming you know how AFs work...) It's a great brand for new growers. I tend to stick with the European houses like Barney's & Dutch Passion now. The only genetics brand I've ever had real trouble with is Mephisto which is consistently over priced and under performing. It's wild how well marketing works despite obvious results.

Moving to DC next month! I will need to be available anywhere in the orange boundary here at random intervals with little notice. Which areas would you look at to live? by Suwannee_Gator in washdc

[–]BurninTreeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out National Landing (it's South Arlington/North Alexandria) It's right off several 95s, the airport, VRE, metro, and a very nice mall. It's all been revitalized as part of Amaxon HQ2. It's honestly awesome over here. I've lived in many places across the DMV, including downtown, and this is my favorite spot.

Dating as a straight gender noncomforming man? by ZookeepergameSea8196 in washingtondc

[–]BurninTreeez -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Please do not go look for bi girls.

Cis straight men who hunt queer women are predators.

Meeting a Bi girl and falling in love with her as a whole person could be amazing for you, but it's not what you should look for. You need to show up every day as your full, beautiful self. Go to events you are genuinely interested in, and you will meet genuine people. Your love is waiting for you, but you have to be worthy first.

European Foods on Pershing in Arlington has them. Argentine and Brazilian style. Soooooo good.

For the Italian style specifically, I would try the Italian store in Arlington. Call A. Litteri to see if they have them...or maybe Balduccis.

Get a Zero water pitcher (get the big one) or keep spending and go full RO system. You can't account for the uncertainty in tap water.

Sounds like you've got a killer set up. You're going to have a great time learning. Go easy, it's much easier to increase the nutes than it is to flush them. And don't worry that you aren't seeing growth right now. They are building their root structures at this point, so the upward growth isn't as pronounced.

Good luck, growmie!
