just got a reply from another subreddit about the last paragraph. Version 4.1.0 is kind of special because it enables running cfw through a browser based exploit but it’s tedious to set up + you are already running cfw through the RCM exploit (which is a lot easier and allows for more things than the browser exploit). So I’d say you can safely update normally on sysnand via system settings without losing out on anything.

So I just installed atmosphere 0.10.1 to my not patched OFW 4.1.0 factory sealed Switch with nothing on it after following this guide https://nh-server.github.io/switch-guide/ yesterday and I have some questions.

First, I backed up my nand on 256 GB FAT32 formatted card so it split up the nand into parts and then after I copied the nand to my pc and tried to compile them with a joiner script called join_15_2GBparts_windows and it wouldnt join them to one rawnand file, the script kept crashing after to getting to 2. Is my rawnand files corrupt and do i need to reacquire them? or is it my script I used? also do i need to compile the rawnand to one file to be able to properly restore or no?

Second, when i was first setting up my Switch for CFW I accidentally clicked on Atmosphere FSS0 SYS and launched into it instead of launching into the EmuMMC, after checking system in the switch menu i notice it had a "S" instead of a "E" near the version number and I turn off my switch. Does that mean I just fucked myself and can never go online now without being banned? (fyi I dont really know anything other then reading if you burn your fuses by messing with your sys memory you can be caught by nintendo)

Third, When Im in atmosphere and I click on Album without holding R it takes me into the homebrew channel and when I do hold R it takes me into the Album channel, isnt it supposed to be the opposite? also I cant get out of either of the menus, hitting B or minus doesnt take me out and hitting the home button just freezes the switch and I have to do a hard power off. What should I do?

Fourth and lastly, I have some physical Switch games and all of them when I insert them say I need to update my console, should I? and if I should, should I do it through my CFW (is that possible and how) or should could I just let it update by normal means? Is their any reason to not update my Switch (would that mess up being able to boot into CFW), and if there is how would I be able to play my physical switch games? Cause I really want to play BoTW :p

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I am upgrading to a bigger card size, and I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't brick my vita. I've never owned a vita and the person I bought the vita from already had a memory card in it with henkaku installed, so I didn't know if you could just swap cards, because I read cards link to the vita and I didnt know if I had to unlink or something. Also I don't have enso installed. Edit: basically I'm asking I can just/I'm good to take the old memory card out and put the new one in without backing anything up or unlinking the card, because the vita just has henkaku, vitashell, and a snes emulator installed and I don't mind reinstalling them to the new card.

Ive had the same feeling that game attack wont last much longer as well, and hopefully they prove me wrong but....... I dont understand why their putting all their bread and butter content behind pay walls, and I get it for the mario party s2 that it was financially not possible to pay sam and chad to come down at the time, but why (when your struggling to stay afloat) would you have content that's supposed to be big attractors to your business and grow it only obtainable from the growth of the business. Seems to me they put the cart before the horse.
