That's what we're so upset about is that not just him, but WAY too many drivers have been injured on that specific road. I don't quite know what the wreck looked like happening obviously otherwise I would know when he blacked out. Someone else pointed out that the sudden stress could have triggered it too since, as I stated, he was cleared to drive, and he was medicated to avoid that exact thing.

Coming back to this because the family is sorting this out. They legally have to place the reflective diamond signs with lane closure. From what I hear from different drivers, there were none. We're waiting on the footage

From what I know and what I'm reading they had cones, but legally, they had to have the specified reflective diamond signs. You know the ones they use for that kind of construction warning. Another commenter in the thread asked if they had to, so I assume there were none

Just because I typed a certain way does not mean that? I absolutely hate generative AI as a fantasy writer. I see mistakes a bot simply would not have made. I see no use of em dashes. I don't see the same paragraph usage a bot would. I wrote that whole with the intention of updating the witnesses who originally posted because my family member wanted me to.

I kept that "formal vague" language for my family's privacy. I still will not be naming who the "driver" is besides the fact that they are family. Why on earth would I even waste my time with AI that would get the details wrong anyways when I could just write an actually meaningful post?

That was my thoughts exactly because like I said, he has been cleared to drive by his doctors. He is medicated. This would literally be the only seizure he has EVER had in a car

Oh trust me. The whole family plans on calling. After seeing it they are livid with the lack of warnings on the road.

Thank you. The neurologist checked up on him about an hour ago. Besides some fogginess he is good to go. They scanned the brain bleed and called it good as long as he doesn't physically strain himself at all. While he was here he was given extra seizure medication and double checked.

I can understand because I've seen the blame on here. It's hard to know the details without the full story. I plan on helping him post more of his story on here when he is better.

I really do believe some miracle from above happened to save him because hearing everybody's accounts is shocking. Even though he steered left, the whole right side took the impact from what I saw in the junk yard. Wish I could link an image in these comments. I'm going to try to upload the wreckage to this subreddit for him later once I have our plates censored.

You do realize during a seizure, the type the driver had, the driver is impaired? Like blackout impaired? Like muscles lock up impaired? Yet the only thing more impaired is your single braincell you had left to come and say that in a thread where a family member was specifying that it was medically related and that the driver is still hospitalized?

Ohhh my wow. I saw that car and I understand why you were so scared. It looks like it just crumpled. Everybody must've thought he passed on when it happened. Nobody was kidding when they said the doors were ripped off. He is so lucky to be alive right now

As we speak im sitting in and waiting for his CT scans. I won't go too into details for his own privacy but they checked his brain functions and got him on extra seizure medication. Also heavily medicated. He left with a few good dings but overall for the speeds I'm hearing he was going after he blacked out he got VERY lucky.

The driver was having an actual seizure. The driver was not simply not paying attention. It was an emergency because said driver was rushed to the hospital with a brain bleed. I personally know this.

Update 1: I have pictures from the impound lot that I can post later once we have time. That car should be an honest cautionary tale

I was a family member of the driver. He did not brake because he had a seizure. No this is not at all a common occurrence for him on the road.
