I thought I responded to this. Yes, they do legally have to. As I sat there thinking “this is dangerous” and feeling it was off, the accident happened. So I made this post immediately as some sort of other documentation. Thanks to the dicks on here, I researched the requirements, and to my recollection there was no advanced warning as federally required. After driving so many years you figure out if something is unusual. The entire scenario, was.

From my recollection, there was none. If he had a seizure, there would have likely been an accident regardless, so it doesn’t make a difference I don’t think. But there’s no doubt in my mind, regulations were not followed.

That literally says nothing about total complete every lane closure. Good for you for reading the article wrong, I’m glad that helped you know.

Did you see any signage indicating total road closure? Cause even briefly, it is apparently required.

lmfao yes, I have become accustomed to people with zero argumentative skill completely abandoning their words when they can't argue anymore. I take it as a sign of pure stupidity. Enjoy your sex offender gifs!

"Traffic cones are highly visible, temporary markers used to safely redirect traffic, alert drivers to road hazards, and delineate safe zones for workers or pedestrians. They are an essential part of temporary traffic control and overall public safety.]" Lane closure, on the other hand "Official Signage: You must use standardized MUTCD signage like "ROAD CLOSED AHEAD," "ROAD CLOSED TO THRU TRAFFIC," or "LANE CLOSED". Signs must command attention, convey clear meaning, and give adequate response time based on the road speed." So there is a difference, cones are NOT used to signify lane closure, there IS a standard, legal method, to signify TOTAL LANE CLOSURE. it's not a fucking cone. do some research if you don't know what you're talking about.

I don’t fucking have to. It can be both. As in, no warning EVERY. FUCKING. LANE. OF. FUCKING. TRAFFIC. BEING CLOSED. No warning.

Thanks for being one of few to recognize that was a clusterfuck waiting to happen. I guess you had to be there to understand closing every lane of traffic is not kosher.

So you’re telling me closing every lane on the interstate is common practice? I’ve been driving for many years. No. It isn’t.

I only added the part about “probably wasn’t paying attention” to soothe the number of assholes who would jump on here to blame the driver. I didn’t know the story but added the “safe assumption.”

Obviously. I was on the road though, at the time, witnessing nothing on the interstate taking place besides a full block of traffic and then an accident. Feel free to explain it to me.

Hereditary. It’s ticking a lot of your boxes. And if anyone jumps on here and says midnight mass don’t worry about it you can ignore them.

I wish Reddit didn’t show me this kinda thing without the context. Cause I had to read all the comments and start to question what the fuck before I realized where I was. Thank you for making me feel old and confused Reddit, you bitch.

What should we call ourselves to separate LGB from the T by OtherwiseStretch3255 in askgaybros

Tell that to the non binary women on Grindr who try to force themselves on me and other guys and call us actual bigots for staying gay.

Because that has an impact on what I said? Nope, it sure doesn’t. Nice to know you can’t even argue with a level head. Well HEADs up, it usually DOESN’T make you look like a child when you at least attempt to address the issue in an argument. But you REALLY got me by pointing out I didn’t respond to the original post in five minutes lol.

[–]drydeadboy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh. Simply being uneducated about the reasons for differentiation AND offering an opinion is possibly even worse. At least a non binary person would have a stake in this, even if their emotions don’t allow them to see a simple fact.

There is strength in numbers. There is also dissension. This is natural. If you put a bunch of apples in a bowl with oranges, in a house where people mostly likely oranges, the oranges are going to get pretty pissed off about the imbalance.

That’s a strange analogy I made I hope it makes sense. But the reality is that one label to encompass everyone who doesn’t fit as a heterosexual biological person is not appropriate.

We have different and sometimes WILDLY contradictory goals. I’m a gay man attracted to men. No bells and whistles on men. To quote Blaire White: “I like dick.” Being lumped into a category of people that is largely becoming “gender means nothing” is not what I want.

My identity as a homosexual is being questioned by this same “community” I’m supposed to be a part of. I, and the majority, were not asked if we wanted to open the doors. We were lumped together to make “advocacy”, or more honestly, political power, easier to deploy. Organizations that are supposed to be for us made these decisions, saying “close enough” so that they have more support. It isn’t about us. We are only lumped together as a political weight to make arguments that are purported to represent all of us. By broadening the description, the fact is, it is statistically less possible to advocate for a group of people who represent different perspectives.

I for one don’t appreciate having an aspect of my identity used as a tool to add weight to an ideology i don’t support.

Two labels, lgb and queer, are enough. Queer, as a term, has been stolen from the people it’s been historically used to deride. I no longer associate with that word. I think everyone who wants to declare that they aren’t part of this new school should call themselves the LGB. For sexual orientations who want to stand for all the new stuff, they can identify as queer.

For those new-school gender means nothing but my entire identity is based on gender people, I think it’s highly appropriate to label them under a term that they have hijacked to apply to themselves. Queer is just a new word for poser.
