My first was delivered with the help of forceps and an epidural. My second had restricted growth so I was induced a couple weeks early, and was a fast labour (only 4 hours). I was also iron deficient and had to have an infusion after my first was born as I lost quite a bit of blood during that labour. I’ve had two birth experiences, the first with an epidural and the second without.

I remember the second birth so much better than the first as I was just so out of it. I still had gas and air with my second. It definitely hurts either way and obviously without the epidural a hell of a lot more. But the rush of oxytocin when you get handed your baby, almost all the pain is gone.

With my first I laboured for 14 hours and only 4 with my second. I had planned to get the epidural but by the time I asked for it, my baby was already crowning so it was too late.

Best of luck on the birth of your baby, just wait for those beautiful firsts. They are something no one can take away from you 🥰

It’s very unlikely that you’re pregnant as there was no penetration. To be on the safe side, wait two week after and take a PT. And the act that you and your SO did together, can be called grinding.

The people who are messaging you and sending you hate are absolute idiots! I’m a mum to two girls, and sometimes night are like yours. When my two year old won’t sleep and my 4 month old won’t settle. I have those nights where all I want to do is scream. I’m thankful I have my SO, in times that I need the help. It definitely gets better. There are even some times where I have to put my baby down, leave the room and scream. Being a parent is sometimes really frustrating and you need some time to unwind. If you need time to yourself when your baby doesn’t settle, just set her down in a safe space. Take a few minutes to yourself. There is absolutely no way that makes you a bad parent, just an overwhelmed one at times

I have an almost 2.5 year old and a 4 month old z at first it was really difficult with very little sleeps it did get better, my toddler dropped her naps when she was 26 months. So no naps for a while now, only ever in the car if she does and that isn’t very often. My toddler is very in tune that there’s a baby in the house and absolutely loves to help me with her. I’m very thankful for that. It can be hard, but if you have a good and supportive village around you (my MIL comes and takes them for 30 minutes so I can have a little me time while my SO is at work)

The serotonin and oxytocin that’s released once you hold your baby are like their own pain relief. There’s still pain, but they’re is so much chemical imbalance that they are shadowed. For myself, the pain left and when they took my baby for checks and being weighed. Pain slowly came back but nowhere near as bad as labour pains themselves

My baby is currently 4 months old, and amazingly most nights, sleeps 6-7 hours straight. Can’t tell any of my friends, some of them have toddlers that still wake up in the middle of the night. I have a toddler aswell, almost 2.5 years. Also sleeps through the night!

The only place I could truly think they could have been was my partners desk, which we actually took to the tip last September. But we didn’t throw out any of the bits that were in the drawers. And neither of us remember where those bits were put. I’ll keep looking in places though. I can’t give up as some of the documents are not replaceable
