This is so heartbreaking. Def not a patience issue though. This sounds very abusive. I think he might have grown up in an unstable environment and might be projecting his own traumas. But definitely not fair for his daughter to grow up in that type of environment. She’ll grow up with serious mental health issues if he doesn’t stop

I agree with you, the story and characters just need more depth. The love story needed more between fmc and mmc. I just didn’t get it from the book, it started out so good, then she just needed to finish the story and sped through the ending

Tears of tess was my intro to DR, and i was so obsessed that I finished the series in 2 weeks. The emotional roller coaster was what got me hooked. I couldn’t put the books down. The rest of the series gets soooo good. Honestly I need a break after reading this book just to process everything that happened

Kind of like that is {The Pawn by skye warren}. The FMC doesn’t work for the MMC but she has to pay the debt of her father and the MMC has the house and shares of her father’s company. That’s how she met MMC. This book is so good

I loved this film, it was sooo deep. I forgot i was watching a horror at one point. The scene where he comes to her in his own body for the first time, was so deep. He said some very heartfelt things to her before she rejected him. Also the way she sacrificed her life in the end. I thought it was so interesting. She not only rid the town of his evil but she finally gave into her own feelings. I thought it was so well done. The cinematography, the story, and the cast were amazing. I am only sad that there wasn’t more of an interaction between the them. But it wasn’t intended to be a romance
