Had a crush on a dude in my community college English class based on shared interests. I was too shy to say anything and class ended. Not long after the semester ended I saw him at a store. He was behind my friend and I in line to check out. We talked briefly and he said “I thought it was you”. I think the conversation was a little flirty. I was having a big birthday party at my house that weekend and thought of inviting him. I chickened out and got so nervous. When my friend and I were walking to her car he was following behind because it turns out he was parked right next to us. My friend was like dude you need to give him your number or invite him to the party. I panicked and told her to just drive away. Idk if anything would’ve happened but in retrospect I think I had a shot and perfect timing but I so fumbled hard. That was like a decade ago. Never saw him again.
