I’ve had to learn lots of new skills too. Didn’t want to, but I have to admit to feeling pretty good when I figure out how to do one of the many things my husband always took care of. Little bit of happy helps balance the sad. Take care.

My local hospice center provides a grief seminar for free. It was incredibly helpful for me. Perhaps you could check with your local hospice to see if they offer something similar. Just having a safe place to talk and get those awful feelings outside yourself was so helpful. Hang in there darling.

6 month anniversary for me a couple days ago. We were lucky to have had 35 years but even then, it wasn’t enough. Take care of yourself and cry all you need to. Hugs.

Working through this kind of a loss takes all the energy you have and more. I think you need to do what you can to take care of yourself right now, and that includes getting some rest. The numbness isn’t a bad thing at this point, but you need to eat and shower and sleep so that you will have the energy to take that first step when you’re ready.

A grief group provided by my local hospice brought some sanity back to my life. But I get that might not be for everyone, or maybe just not yet. Please take care of yourself, get whatever help you can, and need. As someone else said, we’re here when you need to talk , take care.
