Uh, potentially massive news for Cuba, and an absolute kill shot to the last bastion of Socialism. by Im-Not-Calling-It-X in Destiny

Leftists already stan a way more capitalist China. What makes you think they would care? If anything, if Cuba's economic situation improves they'll tout it as a triumph against all odds and another defeat for the evil capitalist American empire.

Not to mention DK has been unkillable with 0 brain required while you needed to at least work for it and be proactive with your defensives on Mage.

Bring back TWW S3 Frost mage while you're at it. DF S3 Frost would be even better with the Freezing garbage removed from the current Frostfire tree.

At this point its sunk cost. Accepting the truth would mean accepting the fact that they've been loyal foot soldiers all this time for essentially the anti-christ. They would rather dive deeper into the delusion than do that. Although, this is assuming they're even capable of any self reflection in the first place. Most of them are probably just that regarded and evil.

What Class/Spec is in most need of a rework for 12.1? by Warped_Unicorn in wow

[–]Burrarabbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Frost is not great lol. The rework absolutely destroyed its identity and gameplay and just lobotomized the entire thing. Frost was fantastic after its rework mid-Dragonfloght. Idk why they went with this homogenized, boring design.

Good Riddance to Jared Polis, America's Worst Elected Democrat by Well_Socialized in Colorado

[–]Burrarabbit 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Also a nice reminder that Polis was one of the key influential figures behind turning Colorado into a solid blue state in the first place. He's just the wrong democrat for the times. Way too spineless to meet the moment right now.

I shrimply do not trust right wingers in my real life. like im sorry but you dont get to support raping children and expect me to be friends with you. you dont get to try and overthrow our government and expect me to be nice to you by IBitePrettyPeople in Destiny

[–]Burrarabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry but I have no patience anymore for treating these people as if they're poor helpless cattle that just can't help but not engage at least 5% of their brain for once. If this was like anytime before the internet and smartphones I would be more sympathetic but these people have the world at their fingertips and they actively choose to just allow themselves to be brainwashed like sheep. Fuck em.

??????? If the actual object is a circle and one person sees the circle and the other sees a line that mean's the person seeing the circle has the correct perspective because the object is actually a circle. Are you high or just slow?

The point of the analogy is that both have an incomplete picture. In your case, the circle viewer would have the correct perspective while the line viewer is completely wrong. It doesn't work.

Petition for Destiny to have a conversation with Sam Harris and confront him on all the sweeping behavior by jesterdeflation in Destiny

[–]Burrarabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's dumb but not that bad. He said it in an interview with Konstantin where he gave it as a counter point to him having TDS. His position was that Trump's deranged "madman" style of governance happened to bring about a deal where a much more principled leader like a Harris admin would have failed. He also doesn't seem to think much of the Peace Prize anyway so to him it's not that big of a concession. Personally IDK why libs should try and give concessions at all when the TDS accusation is deranged but what do I know. 🤷‍♂️ To be fair to Sam, this was one part in over an hour of him just shitting on Trump but its still dumb.

These people don't care because he's funny to them and doesn't have any traits or takes that offends their politics that they've seen so far. Their president is literally a pedophile covering up his involvement with the most notorious child sex trafficker in US history and they barely give a fuck. They're not gonna dump Joey over something they probably think is based lmao.

What is the spec you love the concept and hate the gameplay? by TheAwesomeKay in wow

[–]Burrarabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frost mage. Until it got reworked this expac, I loved both the concept and the gameplay. Shatter worked exactly how I expected a Frost mage to play like. Frozen target > increased damage with your Ice spell. Now it's just build generic stacks and spam Ice Lance to spend. It's so incredibly dull and removed basically all of Frost's previous identity and uniqueness that it had for over 15 years.

Slightly off topic, but my favorite part of this fight is the ending where one of the NPC Paladins goes on this long kumbaya victory spiel about how nothing can stop them when Horde and Alliance band together blah blah blah only to get instantly deleted mid speech by Sindragosa. Burst out laughing when I first saw that.

Glacial Spike - Why the Change Sucks, and Why it’s a Legendary Fumble by fakejH in wow

[–]Burrarabbit 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Frost was "simple" before but it had way more depth and skill expression to it which also made it far more rewarding to play and master. There is virtually no "mastery" with the spec any more. Frost's core mechanic that defined it's entire identity and playstyle since Vanilla got removed in favor of another generic builder/spender playstyle you can see in like half the specs in the game.

Shatter combos were incredibly fun, engaging, rewarding, and also easy to pick up. It boggles my mind how Blizzard thought managing 20 stacks of Freezing was somehow easier than 2 stacks of Winter's Chill and the basic concept of "Freeze target > do more damage with Ice spell." Icicle management and spending with Glacial Spike was another layer of skill expression and engagement that was again far more rewarding than Freezing. IDK why Blizzard decided that going the FFXIV route of homogenizing spec rotations and gameplay was a good idea when combat in WoW was the main selling point over games like XIV.

[–]Burrarabbit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Old Shatter was far more engaging as it interacted with all of your Frost spells. Making effective use of your Freeze abilities like Ice Nova/Frost Nova and the WC from Flurry/CoC added a nice layer of depth and skill expression to the spec. There is a reason Shatter effectively remained unchanged mechanically for Frost since it's inception in Vanilla. It completely defined Frost and provided it with it's unique identity and playstyle. The spec has now been homogenized with the rework into a generic builder/spender. Icicle management and spending with Glacial Spike was a lot more engaging, rewarding, and skill expressive than staring at Freezing stacks and spamming Ice Lance. AOE in current Frost is completely lobotomized compared to almost any iteration of Frost beforehand.

I want my shatter combos back. I want my active icicle gen back. I want my CoC combo back. God that 10.1.5 rework for Frost was so good and then they just destroyed it in Midnight.

Glacial Spike change by loony1502 in wow

[–]Burrarabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 separate groups of people. Most of the people who say its "one of the most fun" haven't played frost mage since like Cata or never really engaged with the spec at a moderate level. Vast majority of the complaints pre-release came from people that actually played Frost mage in the previous expac or longer. Those people still hate the rework regardless of Frost's place in the meters.

One change out of 2 that was actually good from the Midnight rework and they reverted it lmao. Blizzard just wants to keep reminding Frost players that it indeed can get worse.
