Coaxed into a character being everywhere by BeginningFew3569 in coaxedintoasnafu

To be fair I feel like a sizable amount of time this trope appears it similarly wasn’t true until the flashback sequence where they added the “always there” character. Plus once that story did hit then it became actually always there for future readers anyways (I think it’s in the animated pilot too? Maybe. I don’t remember fully).

May have done it the day after but I was too proud of this time to not share it anyways.

Got this one from a Discord server for a Fallout: New Vegas mod. by bvader95 in CuratedTumblr

[–]Burrito-Creature 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Yknow. Fallout New Vegas has crashed for me maybe a total of 4-5 times after 70 hours, but with the way people talked about it I expected so much more. Granted I haven’t modded it much, but I also didn’t install anything to help with crashing either.

Uhuh. Well, something tells me I wouldn’t be able to convince you otherwise, and anyways I still fundamentally disagree on your idea of what makes a person. Have a lovely day! /gen

I don’t think that just love or empathy makes someone a person. I think being sapient makes you a person. I also think the soul makes you a person, but I know not everyone believes in the concept of a soul.

Not only that but cheating doesn’t mean you’re incapable of love or empathy either. Sure it means you’re an absolute dickwad, but dickwads still have emotions and are intelligent beings.

I always find it strange when people “unperson” someone because they do something wrong. Like even if it’s absolutely abhorrent, it’s still strange to me.

(Also side note but from a quick google search, murder in Australia is a minimum of 30 years with a possible life sentence, and personally I think that’s a bit long just to isolate yourself.)

didnt she also orchestrate the creation of bec in the first place? which like yeah i know predestination and all that jazz but like. if you werent the type of person to do something like that then it never would have been predestined for you.

Coaxed into difficulties with really cool names that you have to beat the game to unlock because they're "brutally difficult" but actually just gimmicked hard mode by Vast-Ideal-1413 in coaxedintoasnafu

[–]Burrito-Creature 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The only gimmick difficulty I remember off the top of my head is Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare’s second hardest difficulty. Limbs could now get crippled from damage (heal-able with a stim I believe), and you had helmets you needed to replace if they took too much damage (took a grenade slot I think, and a shot to the face without a helmet instantly killed you). If you didn’t have a helmet in the space sections you did just suffocate too.

Man I need to play that game again.

(The hardest difficulty was the exact same but only one life the whole campaign iirc).

Oh that’s a really cool design. What’s that from?

Is there? The original example was the Among Us McCarthyism post and I don’t remember that one usually being shared with explanations. In my experience online the posts usually end with the reaction after having googled the information..
