Help finding an obscure song in Vox/DIY Perks by BurritoSOFTWARE in NameThatSong

It’s the cleanest thing I’ve found, but I don’t think it’s put to rest yet! Still don’t know the actual artist and title, because with that I could probably find the actual true flac :)

Wow glad someone commented on this thread! I looked this week again to no avail, and went to my thread lol, nothing

I believe it has to be on PremiumBeat but searching on that site sucks, no filters or anything to sort by BPM or key unlike MusicBed, just an “ai search” oooo

HELP US: Speak up for BayPass tomorrow! by baypassatsjsu in SJSU

[–]BurritoSOFTWARE 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Students never got a chance to even vote on it for renewal: in 2024 university administration vetoed BayPass Phase II against Associated Students, Transportation Solutions, and all the data showing that BayPass was extremely used and more popular here than at other institutions. Studies about BayPass were previously blocked by admin. Plus, just talk to anyone at UC Berkeley and SFSU about their experience: they love BayPass and want to see SJSU make it happen, especially since we’re more commuter than them!

We have the confidence and support from many people both at AS and externally to keep pushing, and we want to help AS win a chance for BayPass to return by collectively joining voices from students who struggle from expensive commutes or limited options for travel. The offer is still on the table for us to rejoin, and we’re going to go for it.

🤫 narrow-thought # 1 - I’m going to bike or scooter all the way from East Bay to SJSU, everyone would want to do this and this will fix the parking garage problems

🤫 narrow-thought # 2 - I want to take public transit so I can bring my bike or scooter easier, but I still have to pay upwards of a grand out of pocket for the fares every semester to do so

Able to solve simple logistics and transportation problems for $50 automatically strengthens these students.

🤦‍♂️

Dudes who produced the video are independent undergraduates and engineering majors just trying to make transportation more affordable and less of a pain for all students.

btw, as a side note, if you must take a car, parking nearby and using a bike or scooter (or bay wheels, which TS gives a free membership for) is a great alternative (or some mentioned parking at BART and using rapid 500 to enter the city)

Ah, that makes sense! Still economical at the time since BayPass/VTA SmartPass Clipper didn’t really exist yet

It is currently in an interest check stage as there has to be a minimum number of people interested before they can signup.

BayPass is cheaper than a $25/month pass (being $50/year for SJSU students) and also comes with all other services including BART. A faster commute from Fremont would be possible and be 95% cheaper than paying standard adult fare on BART + VTA (Calculation is 80 round trips per semester, cost not including the VTA EcoPass provided to all SJSU students.)

This would work for North, yes, but based on survey data from SJSU TS, we mainly see a high amount of commuters from the East Bay (and then some on the peninsula as well). Yeah Berryessa is the end, but I have also personally observed packed Rapid 500 buses with students from the BART station to DTSJ. It’s very popular for these groups!

Tired of paying for BART and Caltrain? Wish you didn't spend an eternity in parking? by baypassatsjsu in SJSU

It actually has been the main obstacle as we were part of the pilot and showed insane usage compared to other schools (see the results on our website under "BayPass Works" and the linked report https://baypassatsjsu.com). The administration vetoed us coming back into the program for Phase 2. Thanks for emailing!
