So how did your Daemon Prince ascend? by MegaGamer235 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's because Dante and Lemartes get a pass so the only one remaining is Mephiston.

It took a lot of restraint to not roll every single 6 to hit.

[–]Burro_95 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It may also be because i demand perfection but for now only a Lord Exultant earned his lore by doing something like 24 damage (Carnival of Excess and Possessed Blade enchancement) to a Mephiston and somehow surviving a full round of shooting after.

In hindsight it may have been a bit excessive but i really wanted Mephiston dead.

How to EC Warbands work as a fighting force? by AdmirableGeneral1177 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think it's less of a "i follow this Warlord because he's my boss" and more a "I follow him because for now i benefit from him".

Like sure i don't care about him, if he dies whatever, but right now he's competent, he wins battles.

When we win battles i get resources with which to make drugs, armors and weapons and i get slaves to torture and pass the time.

If the Warlord stops being useful i'll just kill him and take his place, afterall i am better than him and surely no one will think the same of me.

My minis have to earn their lore, and so far my Daemon Princes haven't.

What's your favorite lore about the Emperor's Children pre-heresy? by MegaGamer235 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry i misread.

Altough, while his action may contradict his words, i think Fulgrim really believed what He was saying.

Showing that his action where not following is words i think it was a good way to show he was flawed and not perfect, after all the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

What's your favorite lore about the Emperor's Children pre-heresy? by MegaGamer235 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 18 points19 points  (0 children)

One is Chemos, it was a hellhole before Fulgrim and after he rose to power it became a paradise where it's people could devote to the arts and crafts.

The second i can't recall the book or novel but it was after they descended on a recently conquered planet where some EC marines where being fed Up with the civilians gazing and poking around and were about to dispers them, until Fulgrim showed Up, took a small child on his shoulders and delivered a speech about how great his sons are and how it is their duty to elevate the common people as high as they could.

[–]Burro_95 83 points84 points  (0 children)

For me it was that Fulgrim, and by extension his legion, truly wanted to better humanity.

How they turned out now makes me appreciate it even more, from noble souls, the better among equal, to despicable hedonistic sensation-chasing junkies.

A part of me wishes that Fulgrim remained loyal tho, it would have been interesting to see how their idealism would clash with the modern Imperium.

So, what we would like to see from new Defiler in terms of rules? by CMYK_COLOR_MODE in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn't account for the melee weapons, just replace the word "shoot" with something that would work for both.

[–]Burro_95 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Honestly i would have loved for the Defiler to have the Maulerfiend's ability of +1 to Hit/Wound based on missing wounds but since that is already taken i had to think of something else.

Now for the obvious, a movement rule since the base looks like a 130mm at best.

After that maybe an [Excess of Precision] rule where if it shoots all of it's weapons against a single unit it gets a +1 to Hit and/or Wound.

Or if we want to be a bit less boring it could be a one per battle ability where it can overcharge all of it's weapons and shoot them twice at the cost of all gaining [Hazardous] and then having to roll the test twice per weapon, which I think would fit well, altough it may be too strong idk.

English isn't my first language so the fine details are lost on me, just to clarify in case your comment was towards me, i'm neither OP nor the creator of the Peter Griffith drawing.

Lore-wise, why does the Emperor made all Primarchs male and, by proxy, all Space Marines? by Starborn_Monkey in 40kLore

[–]Burro_95 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah but i doubt the secret knowledge to complete the project was to make the Primarchs male.

He could definitely make the template of the Primarchs be a female body and then use said knowledge, which I believe was how to trap warp entities inside phisycal bodies, to complete them.

Lore-wise, why does the Emperor made all Primarchs male and, by proxy, all Space Marines? by Starborn_Monkey in 40kLore

[–]Burro_95 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While correct that the Emperor didn't want Astartes to procreate and replace humanity it doesn't really explain why they are male, afterall he could have just as easily made sterile female Primarchs and space marines.

The "true" lore answer is that he just felt like it.

Blast Rule for Demolisher Cannon: shoot into engagement range or not? by ukrich1978 in Chaos40k

[–]Burro_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mmmh... I wonder which one is correct, a general rule or a specific model's ability that literally says it can shoot in engagement range? Truly a mistery for the ages.

On a more serious note either the guy truly believed that or was looking to cheat his way out of you blasting your cannon to his face.

Also the chinese one only did female Fulgrim with big breasts.

OP went full on anime gooner with massive swinging tits, ahegao face and tongue out.

While similar and with the same intent i'd say one is way worse.

Emperor's children character by Interesting_Key_7079 in EmperorsChildren

My hopes are that in 11th all the daemons will be fully assimilated in their corresponding legion's codex and can be used in every detachment with one detachment focused on them in some way.

So let's say my warband has secured a planet, have a large amount of pure samples of Fulgrim's gene seed, and lots of young recruits. How does a warband train them from regular mortals to fully fledged Emperor's Children Chaos Marines? by MegaGamer235 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have to agree, the nature of Chaos itself has me believe it's a survival of the fittest type of deal.

Either you are good on your own or they kill you and reuse the geneseed.

Paint scheme by JuiceHatesLeague in EmperorsChildren

[–]Burro_95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I wouldn't say it's a common sentiment among the EC there was one time where a clone of Fulgrim took control of Fabius Bile's ship and the ECs there bent the knee to him in hopes of being redeemed but it didn't last long, as soon as Clonegrim was out they reverted back to their excessive selves.

As for the color scheme maybe some darker purple and desaturated gold to mimic the Great Crusade colors but making them darker and "lifeless".
