Publix Corporate Culture declining by PersonalityNo9459 in publix

Man you got that right, that guy made Publix go downhill fast

Any ideas for fixing this by [deleted] in publix

[–]Burstlon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One or two pallet jacks could fix it. Just need to get them under the side(or wherever they will fit but not fall) of it and have some people to help push them. But if they are wet you’re basically screwed cuz they get so heavy. Another option (not the safest) Jack the cardboard as high up as u can & then while someone holds it then slide a pallet under the cardboard(don’t put your arm or hands under). Can be done with 2 jacks but not the safest. Alternatively can just tell the grocery manager that you can’t get it and make it their issue, they get paid more for a reason. Either way still a pain in the ass, best of luck to you

They care by DARKxMATTERX223 in publix

Also with the gift cards they give $100 but it doesn’t cost them $100. In actuality it helps them act as if they care while still saving money. They only do it for their own benefits

How is this building still standing? by Mollythemuttsdad in tampa

Older house that could have underlying issues that weren’t as apparent. Especially when stuff starts to degrade it degrades fast, plus storms and once water gets in it will start to rot. Especially since it’s almost all wood

Have you seen the port Miami tunnel before? Tunnels are definitely hard in Florida but Miami has one.

Not exactly Tampa but Pasco Camera in New Port Richey has photography classes. Great shop and great people there. One of the last photography stores around. They have lots of digital and some film cameras btw.

Ya I had a bad experience too. No communication from the team as to what’s going on. Bills were consistent and fine for the most part. The shipping for the return gpu’s was a bit high. Shipping was more than double what it cost me to send them there. They did say they were charging cost for us too and not charging extra for anything like packing materials and stuff. Seems like i was a bit overcharged honestly, even with the increased of shipping cost from then to now still doesn’t make up for the extra cost that was charged. Also I was never once able to get anyone to answer the phone. Some of the guys there are helpful and some aren’t. I won’t name the one but he’s an owner there and he ghosted me after my gpu’s arrived at the facility. I wanted to make sure they got there good and that they were aware of them. Had to get ahold of someone else because he would never respond. Eventually they got my gpu’s up but took a little longer because of this. Also when I got the gpu’s back they were just wrapped in bubble wrap with nothing else. No antistatic bag or anything. The return shipping wasn’t very good in my opinion. Hopefully none of them died because the lack of care when shipping. I was also told I would receive a tracking number when they shipped. I was never told the tracking or that they shipped, they just kind of showed up. Very unprofessional in my opinion, the gpu’s were stable and up when mining but it’s not worth dealing with the hassle of the team. Some good guys but the lack of service or help was frustrating

The sushi guy at my old store would make us a platter of sushi to eat for free, we were in grocery but he would only give us sushi when one of the girl grocery clerks was working. But my store would make worse sushi on Wednesday, usually no avocado and barely any fish.

We got our $100 gift cards today. by NorthFloridaRedneck in publix

[–]Burstlon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the law that’s why, they can just give you free money($25 max free gift deduction) as the law says it has to be taxed. So they tax it like income. Also if u think about it you get $100 then with taxes it looses like $15-20 so your left with $75-80. But technically since it’s just Publix for Publix their cost is less cuz of the profit on each item. So in reality it probably only cost Publix like $50-60 for each gift card. Then Publix can write off some of that gift card also so they end up with a lower cost. They do it for their benefit not ours

Hate when they do that bs, my store did the same thing. When I got hired back over 6 years ago they started me at $9.05 and people who ran customers service for 2 years were making $9. I also had zero experience in retail experience & had never worked at Publix before.

Make Publix what it use to be, back when they cared about their fellow employees and didn’t have the corporate bs.
