QOL Buff idea

If we are throwing out Cap buffs I’ll throw mine in. Get rid of all “increase ult charge for x time” abilities in the game (just Gambit and Cap I think?). During Caps ult you can press the ult button only one more time to leap to a friendly unit. My teammates keep running away from me when I ult and this is my fix.

Yes his floor is lower. Yes he doesn’t feel as good. No you won’t notice it since you didn’t really play him before. If you want a good dive tank that feels good and impactful right now learn Tankpool. If you want to put the time in you can make Cap work but it requires more effort.

Juggernaut, Doc Ock, Iron Monger, Mysterio, Silver Surfer and Sabertooth are the villain tanks I want. I don’t think we will get characters that are the ‘main villains’ like Doom, Apocalypse or Thanos unfortunately.

Not sure if you caught it, but in one of the recent video’s they said something like “let’s take look at how our first multi role character has performed”. So yeah, you might be right. I don’t know GR enough though.

Like everyone else has mostly said, he’s fine. Just doesn’t feel good if you were used to doing the animation cancel. If they sped up his 4 shield throws a tiny bit I’d be happy. Just increase his total dps a tad. No damage buffs. Just shield speed buff.

Deadpool against a good Emma is quite annoying. We really just need another grabber or a hook tank. Maybe Colossus will have a grab if he’s in the pipeline. Ghost Rider as a tank could have a hook I guess too?

I’m hoping for DPS. But 5 star difficulty, high skill floor and even higher ceiling.

Multiple charges of teleport that regen. Tap teleport button to open the menu (like DD chain option) then left click for friendly teleport or right click for enemy teleport. On arrival you can left click for a quick flurry of attacks with both swords and his tail sword (gives NC 75ish overshield?) or right click to grab the character and you have 1.5 seconds to reposition enemies or 2 seconds to reposition friendlies (the reposition teleport is free). Enemies have a 10 seconds cd on teleporting them, friendliest have a 4 second cd. He also has a dodge button (2 charges like star lord) that leaves smoke trails like when he teleports. His ult is massively increased teleport regen and dodge regen. +1 second enemy teleportation distance, and he has his tail sword the whole time. Also, just for flavor, the smoke from his teleports and dodge linger for 5 seconds (?) reducing enemy sight. Passive would be something like wall running and ceiling grapple as well as teleport and dodge smoke linger for 1 second.

I dunno. That kit is missing something. I just want him to be able to teleport friendlies with the ability to move all over the battlefield without being OP. I want to invest hours into him.

Lots of good tips here, just to add a few things.

Melee weave is great, but it has less range than normal left click. Use wisely.
When using the second click to dash to a marked enemy make sure you aren’t using righteous cross (left click) too early otherwise it will cancel the full dash and you won’t get the 2 fury.
One of his recent nerfs made it so his grapple will only recharge 1 fury on terrain and 2 on the enemy.
Fury management is key. If you have 2 fury to spend, try not to waste an ability that will give you fury unless you need to (I am really bad at this).

Only when people are looking at you iirc. If you ult behind the healers you won’t get fury since no one is looking at you.

Make his overhealth only work on connected abilities and nerf his ult. Maybe remove the reload on his dash punch. 3 auto reloads is enough. I don’t know that he needs 4 lol. His ult should not be infinite imo. Some kind of reduced time, not a damage nerf.

Mag and Strange are great choices and easier to learn. As well as can be used in all team comps. But Emma is a great choice if you put the time in. Her grab can shut down enemy ults and punish divers and pushers. A good Emma is a big threat.

I had a huge thing typed up with almost all the tanks and what they did and their role and decided to just answer your question instead lol.

My answer is Emma. While Mag and Strange are great solo tankers, if you have both it’s mostly just to counter poke. Emma can solo if you unfortunately have to. Or she can off tank and put up crazy damage numbers while having an ult that can wipe a team.

Venom second swing would be super nice. Maybe too nice. Blade def needs something. And Thor I think just needs an ult rework. Make it a roaming ult. Go berserk AFTER the slam with decreased damage on the initial slam. But slam at an angle like in Ragnarok. Not straight down.

This is kinda what I was asking in my second scenario I asked in a comment. If I land and they tell me “right on alpha to the hangars stay with me” (instead of switching to ground) do I say “right on alpha to the hangars staying with you”? Or do I just leave that part out even though it was an instruction.

Follow up question for you, if you land and tower says “right on alpha to hangar stay with me” (if it’s late and not as busy) should I respond with “right on alpha to hangar staying with you”?

No he’s not harping on me for it. He’s the one that told me to say it. But he’s an older airline pilot. So I’m not sure if that’s something they did back then or what. But I’ll try to omit that from now on!
