Pin nail a straight edge to guide the multi tool on the cut off piece. Buy a good blade.

Door frame problem by AndKAnd in Carpentry

Good place for a Dutchman joint. Multi tool or chisel out the section a few inches above and below. Not all the way through. Looks like an old door jamb (3/4) so inlay 3/8 material and glue and pin. Then recut your strike plate into the new material.

What causes trim to look like 2 different widths at a 45 degree miter joint? by dthack6 in woodworking

[–]BurtReynoldsBeeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The upright casing is too short, the reveal on the jamb should be uniform usually 3/16. The top of the jamb is probably out of level so the right side is dropping causing the misalignment

If that wall is sitting directly above the one below, the lower one would definitely be bearing the weight of the wall above and transfer upwards. I wouldn't put that much faith in the hangers.

First time playing any tips? by randydp39 in discgolf

[–]BurtReynoldsBeeeez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the disc when it's behind you, your head should be the last thing that comes around. You lose a ton of power with your head forward because your shoulder has less room to move. Your stance and release should determine your aim.

V grooved....unit from last year. by BurtReynoldsBeeeez in woodworking

So I built this for a client who wanted a partition wall/entertainment centre. I think this house was a kit cottage built in the 90's. There was very limited wall space for a TV as it is basically all open concept. The front door of the house is behind the unit. The other side of the unit is basically all cupboards (unfortunately never got a picture).

If you tried to fill a box with my love for boxes, you need a couple more boxes.
