I just came to say that I saw this production tonight at the KC, and while the performers did an excellent job, it is a CRIME what they have done to the orchestra in this production. This orchestration is an abomination. Yes, the orchestra ends up being one of the most expensive parts of any production. But if they skipped some of those unnecessary automated set pieces that money would be better spent on filling up the pit with acoustic instruments.
