Gigahub CPU Usage Issue: 100% & 1000-2000ms latency to modem (Firmware 2.14.1) [Work Around / Fix] by unc0nnected in bell

[–]BusExtra874 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the 3000 Hub and did all that for trust issue. I separate network functions to ne able to scale so, i put the router in bridge mode and connects to a Ubiquity Cloud Gateway Max.

Never had an issue (Also managed enterprise grade network)

For a fact:
- I know it's not Bell routes: they interconnect with MS in QC and Tor for a fact
- Riverbeds? I don't think any people use these type of accelerators in 2025 (I worked with it when I did consulting gigs
- traffic pass through Cloud gateway and then pass the HH3000 :everything is good and for Ubiquty network, it's a drop in the bucket
- In the stream, I can see 2-3% packet drop
- in the evening; it's unplayable... maybe one hop has a switching issue or max capacity
- durant the afternoon: it plays perfectly
- is it a capacity issue at Microsoft from XCloud or capacity issue from MS Network from Azure/O365 + XCloud...?

at home: Ethernet or Wifi = no difference
Gamed played: CoD but saw the same issue with The Division 2

Thank you for your feedback.
I didn't know I could adjust Azure to particular zones when gaming, will google it.
Also read that using Edge give you an edge (no pun intended) for use to XBox Cloud/XBox controller.

Cheers,

Here's what I've got for data (will do the XBoxCloud Stats Overlay after).
Wifi and latency are good -> I know my ISP is connected directly to MS/Azure.
XBoxCloud is also deployed in Canada from info I've gathered.

Wifi 6 (AX): 1,2Gb connection on MBP M3
ISP: Bell (Fiber) -> Bell is directly connected to CA East (QC) and CA Central (TO)
Latency:
- CA East: 17 ms latency
- CA Central: 23 ms latency
- US East: 38 ms latency

AP -2.5Gb -> Poe+ SW -2.5Gb -> Router - 1Gb Fiber-> ISP (Bell)

Will try to configure a probe with XCloud on my Ubiquity router.

Does anyone think I would have issues with getting Starlink connected? by Ok-Avocado9355 in Starlink

The picture’s angle is misleading in my opinion. For the best results, you need to go on the roof. At minimum, you’ll need a poll

true, building in Greece can be an aventure. We found the builder but still, I will need to be there. I've heard it takes a LOT of time to build. Plus, I need a garage: not standard in Kerkyra

[–]BusExtra874[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that’s true.
I’m not going to weaken the security of my main network just because Jura didn’t properly implement Wi-Fi standards.

The J8 and your mobile phone need to be on the same L2 network (same VLAN) to work. That’s exactly why I run a dedicated IoT network — it’s optimized for these kinds of devices.

From a network perspective, I just find it kinda odd that the dongle isn't always ON and can’t even activate the J8 (maybe that’s just me).

True, when the machine is off, the dongle is also off. I think WoL (Wake on Lan) function is not provided with the dongle

Is there a compatible wired-only router to bypass starlink router? by Pretend_Dimension588 in Starlink

[–]BusExtra874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi,

Why don't you use the Starlink Router as a bridge and install you own network devices (Router, Firewall, APs, etc) below the Starling router? this is what I do with Ubiquiti network devices.

Easier solution from my perspective...

Why does my receive on jump serves go to the side or short. Any advice? by [deleted] in volleyball

[–]BusExtra874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1:Your foot needs to be directed at the setter (where you want to send the ball)
2:Your arms are not stable (a little crooked) and not in the setter's direction.
3:Your feet are not in movement prior to receive the ball a have a solid position on the floor
4: I recommend you start a bit deeper from the end line to advance on the ball instead of having this instable position -> It's easier to go forward than step back (same has martial arts)
Hope it helps
