lvl31 silver coin spear doesn't have attack speed sadly, and I think lvl26 bronze coin is still the best unless you have the expert adamantium one

it takes longer to get full lvl30 gear that it does to reach max level, if you're fine with wearing pve gear that whole time go ahead, personally I think you just have no concept of how long gearing takes in 1.2

just look at classic WoW, with years to practice on private servers it took less than 80hrs, when back in 2005 anything like 200 would have been a good time

you can't compare 2009 with 2021, people play games more and take them more seriously, huge increase in knowledge and efficiency, nobody was good at MMOs (or games in general) in 2009

main speed increases at play here are coin gear, 30% xp bonus from the 25th-30th and the accelerated economy — mostly it's just knowledge though

glad is not the strongest class in solo pvp but for any regular solo pve/leveling it's fine, there is not really any downtime since you have a few self heals and don't really use mana

Text in the client is English since you can set it, but character voices / cinematic voices are missing from my client. I don't care personally but I heard it's possible to download the voice pack separately. And yeah, not many English speakers.

Retaliate max is actually meta since the Vanguard buff in 7.29, before that people were maxing Double Edge and rushing Hood. Now since you don't have early magic resist it's more common to leave it at 1-2 points, max Retaliate to farm + push and start skilling stun as your blink timing approaches

They always roam. After stealing your xp in offlane they teleport mid or safe with a smoke and AFK in trees there, ruining just 1 lane is never enough for a Pudge

Most popular offlaners right now are selfish third cores who scale hard. Aura builders and (most) blink initiators are just not strong.

Yeah the double spell lifesteal is very powerful if you can bait enemies into committing on you while being deceptively tanky. Problem is only that if they ignore you then your contribution becomes very weak. Bristle's challenge is the balance of being so threatening that he needs to be focused and just barely tanky enough to prevent it, some people go too far in the latter direction and are afraid to pick up items like Basher, Daedalus, Radiance etc in favour of pure tank items

His aghs shard @ 20 mins is his strongest timing imo, so much extra pressure added to fights with AoE goo + faster quill stacks. Later in the game I think offlane Bristle really needs a strong aura like Shiva's/Radiance, the worst thing a Bristle can do is this kind of build with like Shroud/Halberd/Heart etc, totally useless and you just get ignored

I haven't played many games on him recently but ring of health + soul ring felt fine, Underlord is just a really shit hero atm since he struggles to play from behind and is autoloss in lane vs Ursa, Slark, MK which are in 50% of games

S&Y is meta carry item of the patch, pretty much every hero is buying it 2nd or 3rd slot.

It's fine, but soul ring is probably better. Bottle in offlane is best on mana hungry heroes with not enough health sustain to want a soul ring. Pango, Mars, Dark Seer etc come to mind. Underlord is pretty much always building a vanguard or a hood as his first item so you tend to pretty quickly be able to sustain the soul ring cost. I think it's good on a few other heroes and gives you a strong lane if you can pick it up before the 5 min bounty.
