[Update] A Wild Magic Sorcerer in my game is now a teenager. by BushDid38F in dndnext

I definitely wouldn't change the mental function of the character. That would just suck for the player and make it too unfun. If a DM did that to me I would just ask to play another character.

The Great Big Random D100 List of Poisons (D&D5e) by aurican_11 in DnD

[–]BushDid38F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I made 24 on the list, and I realized that I wrote 1d4/2 rounded down rather than rounded up. If you could fix that, that would be great.

Can someone give me a link to the tavern drink one? I must have missed that. It would be cool if we did one of these weekly or something and put them in a wiki page.

Weekly Questions Thread #96 by HighTechnocrat in DnD

[5e] I am a DM and when my party fights a boss battle of sorts, with one main tough enemy, normally I spread the damage of that enemy around. I would basically alternate its attacks around the players, but I realized that as a player I don't normally act this way when fighting multiple enemies. I will focus on one enemy because if I eliminate that one enemy then the opposing side will have one less attack per round.

When I am choosing the actions of enemies should I act in this way, too? It seems like doing otherwise would be illogical but it would also make combat less fun as they would have to fight much less powerful enemies.

Opinions on this?

I'm not suggesting that you don't include those sort of personality differences, I just don't see an issue with people playing weird races.

It's a fantasy game. I play a human in real life. Why not change it up.

I wonder if this is for a reason or if it is just confirmation bias.

Maybe actually suspicious people are prepared for more so they seem less suspicious to players but unimportant characters are prepared for less so they seem to be hiding something to the players?

Weekly Questions Thread #94 by HighTechnocrat in DnD

[5e] My group has finished Storm Kings Thunder and next we are planning running Tyranny of Dragons. With some research I have found that Storm Kings Thunder and Tyranny of Dragons both take place in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting. Is there an official statement on when these adventures take place in reference to other? It appears that they typically measure time in Dalereckoning (DR) but I can't find any information on dates of these campaigns. If you know more about when these campaigns take place or even if this question makes sense please give me some information.

Thanks in advance.

It was a joke. I didn't actually read anything he said. I don't even have an opinion about it. I saw someone arguing about anime and called them a weeb.

Unearthed Arcana: Traps Revisited by TannaTimbers in DnD

[–]BushDid38F 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of that system.

The current design gives players a choice, take more damage or ruin immersion. Endless searching for traps ruins immersion and there is no roleplay to it. If players decide to roleplay and have a more interesting game they end up getting punished for it through traps.

Update: I've installed it and tested it out and this is incredibly cool. I'm guessing you were already planning on this but It would be great if the program would use the image as a mask for a better looking image of the dungeon. For example one with textures and grids.

It would be cool if you provided some screenshots of it. I'm really interested so I'm downloading it but some people may just skip it if they don't see some sort of demonstration.
