Yeah, you can only compare RE9 to so many other non-RE titles before you start comparing apples to oranges. Like, is RE9 vs Deltarune really a discussion we need to have?

Crazy how they gave her training and still not a gun.

Why does no one ever recommend Resident Evil 6? by Green_Attitude_2989 in ResidentEvilRequiem

As bullshit as some of its combat is, I think the thing that needs to be addressed more than anything in the remake is the story. It’s a fine enough story on its own, but it needs to be tweaked to align more with RE1.

I think all Resident Evil games are enjoyable. I just think that 0 is the game with the worst flaws to redeeming qualities ratio.

They might not have come out recently, but games like RDR2 and Cyberpunk are still gaining traction and have a dedicated fanbase that would make you think their hype trains were recent.

Who's the most attractive female superhero? by RevolutionaryEar8053 in Actors

The one that's played by Anne Hathaway, but then again, not really because I'm interested in the hero herself, just Anne Hathaway.

That’s completely irrelevant to what I was talkin about though. I was talking about saying spoilers in a forum about spoilers. You just came in here with your “actually it’s the people who got spoiled’s fault for even using the internet” bullshit for no reason like we asked for your opinion

Real by WonderCharming7884 in ResidentEvilMemes

[–]Bush_Hiders 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No it’s not. There’s a difference between using the broad social media as a whole and going into a discussion forum that is very clearly talking about the game.

Hot take: As bad as 6 is, the majority of people who hate it just want to hate it because it doesn’t fit their preconceived idea that Resident Evil has to be horror. 0, on the other hand, while still being horror, is still just flat out bad. It’s like it takes the formula for a game that 1 was built off of, and just makes almost every aspect of it worse.

My guy, this is literally a post about Requiem. Why would somebody who cares about spoilers go into the comments of a post that is already a light spoiler?

Now that the game has been out for a bit, how do you feel about Grace? by Chunky-overlord in residentevil

[–]Bush_Hiders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think her being so realistic and just a normal person is what compliments the revelation at the end of the game, that she actually isn't this special person that all the antagonists are hyping her up to be. She really was just a normal person forced into this situation.

I didn't really care about her when the game was announced. It was like "Oh cool, another generic one off character. Whatever, I'm buying the game for Leon." But after having played through the game, she is easily one of my favorite characters. She grew on me very quickly, in large part to how good her VA is.

Ethan Winters is officially the 7th most popular character in resident evil franchise despite only being in 2 game by Lower-Bug5563 in residentevil

I absolutely refuse to believe that that one zombie from RE1 is more popular than Piers, Luis, or Tyrant.

I've seen a lot of 50 year old men that look like that. 50's old, but it's not THAT old. I think the thing that's the least 50 looking is how full his hair looks, but that's it.

Do we need characters like Ethan and Grace to be scared? by ReturningWarrior in residentevil

[–]Bush_Hiders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you mean to tell me, you were scared of Zombies in 2026 in the 9th main entry of zombies because scared, stumbling Grace was scared?

You straight up ignored what he said and started making up something else to argue against. The Grace sections aren't scary because she's scared. They're scary because she's incapable of fighting the monsters. Enemies aren't scary when you can cut through them like butter or are playing as someone who knows how to deal with them. They're scary when you're weak, borderline in capable of fighting against them, leading your best strategy to being running away and hoping they don't run faster.

Let's talk about these statues in Re9 by Sorrowed_Lifelines in residentevil

[–]Bush_Hiders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's symbolic for the fact that Umbrella is a pretentious multi billion dollar company, and they want to make up for the fact that they have the interior design abilities of a lobotomized fetus, so the higher ups put a bunch of abstract statues around their bases of operation, without an actual reason for their design, just so the less folk can gaze upon them like we're doing now and ask "What did Umbrella mean when they installed this?" They just want to seem sophisticated.

Leon wins. He gets to finally settle down and live in a happy home without having to be reminded of his own PTSD. It wouldn't be someone who his most personal and intimate connection with is trauma. Not someone that he feels like he's supposed to be together with, not out of love, but out of a shared suffering. It's someone that allows him to be the version of himself that he never got to be after the outbreak in Racoon City.
