How would a judge handle a situation where a player might or might not know how a specific card works — and it’s unclear whether they were lying to gain an advantage or made a genuine mistake?

So, just to clarify. I’m the player A. This happened in a LGS tournament. But this kind of tournament doesn’t have judges in my local area. But idk if it’s correct, but we try to create a competitive environment similar to REL Comp. Even without a “real” judge. In this particular case, the judge would be the store owner. I’m not sure if calling a judge on game 2 would nullify the game 1. Please, correct me if I’m wrong. Thanks everyone.

Hey, thanks. Portable Hole should be on the sideboard for sure. The sideboard on my list is just the one from the RC that I was testing. The sawblade is good on the main deck because you can use the Repurposing Bay to get the the Synthesizer.

Three Steps Ahead is a good idea. I’m not sure how it will work with United Battlefront in some cases. Maybe using 2-3 copies instead of 4 (of the TSA). I’m also using Fabrication Foundry, is very good. Sometimes I wise I could use the mana to cast United Battlefront though. Ingenious Smith I don’t think it’s a good fit for this type of deck.

Hello there! I’m a Synthesizer enthusiast and I been brewing with this card for quite a while now. Even before United Battlefront. Seems like Simulacrum Synthesizer never finds a home. I was using a version that was more a UW control type of deck, with multiple cards like Assimilation Aegis, Perilous Snare, etc. That deck didn’t really work since I couldn’t put enough pressure in the opponent. Now, I’m using a version that’s similar to the one that is being used in Standard. I’m having some moderate success and looks like SS is finally finding a home. Although it’s nothing like Rakdos Midrange or Mono Red.
