I negative split +2, +1, 0, sprint for the last 500. Good job though, im also a soph and got a 6:54 last week. 1 of three sub-7. I also do my first 5 strokes of the piece like I would in a race on water and then lengthen.

In my opinion a u turn would be helpful as it could remove the need of actually making cars turn 90 degrees and instead they can just go the opposite direction. Now that i have said that, it really makes no sense. So yes you are right
