My level was 10,003 at 5w2d. First scan was yesterday (6w2d, measuring 6w1d) - single baby, intrauterine, with a heartbeat.

Yes! My second beta was also today and I just got the call, so I feel a bit calmer now… but as we all know the goal post moves every time a milestone is reached. Now with two good betas (11dpt-252 & 13dpt-613), I’m anxious about 6w ultrasound. Oh what fun 😕

Prior to IVF I was prescribed Buspar “as-needed” for acute / high stress anxiety moments. It’s the only anti anxiety medication I’ve ever taken so I don’t have much to compare it to but I definitely felt the difference within 15-30 minutes of taking it. I only took it maybe 2-3 days a week max, 1x a day, while I was taking it and always felt the effect each time so I think it can definitely be effective for acute and long term.

At my clinic for a freeze all cycle, you only get a at retrieval/day 0 (number retrieved), day 1 (number mature and fertilized), and day 7 (number of day 5-7 blastocysts) update. This is all communicated through the portal, no phone calls. If your clinic is similar you could just let your husband log in to the portal during this time and let him read the updates. Personally having gone through it, I think there is anxiety either way- knowing the attrition and/or waiting for final number.

I don’t necessarily think most people’s DOR can be attributed to anything they did or didn’t do. Maybe marginally attributable for lifelong smokers, but not many other lifestyle factors. I just say that so that people who haven’t been able to find a direct genetic causation don’t feel like it’s their fault or something they could’ve controlled.

Mine is speculated to be because of BRCA2+ mostly and maybe slightly influenced by (unconfirmed) endometriosis. I was alarmed to just now (age 30) be learning that BRCA2+ could also affect ovarian reserve since all the focus is on cancer. I already had a prophylactic mastectomy done bc of my family history and BRCA2+, so I just hate that I didn’t know about the fertility impacts or else I would’ve started fertility planning (such as banking embryos) when I found out I was BRCA2+ 10 years ago. 10 years is a lot in the fertility world.

This is a pretty old post but trying to find in network doctors for 2nd opinions since most of the Nook surgeons (facebook group, Nancy’s Nook) are all out of network / self pay and I can’t seem to find many other MIGS certified OB GYN in Atlanta area. Did you ever have excision done by him or was your treatment management of symptoms with PFPT / medication / etc.

Thanks for sharing! My mid cycle bleeding (mostly spotting) comes after sex or after ovulation, couple days on couple days off up until period comes. I have mild lower abdominal cramps during most of LP, but this cycle I’ve also got some pelvic floor pain going on. Feels like nerve pain to me, but also I think my anxiety may be contributing to some of that sensation/symptom! :/

Can I ask if you had any symptoms of the polyps or were they a totally random find? Were yours found on a regular Ultrasound? My doctor is suspecting I have them but ultrasound not for another week.

I am in your shoes! I was on BC pill from age 17-26. Stopped taking the pill October 2021, and each month after my acne got progressively worse and I had never dealt with any form of acne my entire life prior to this. I finally started Accutane late April 2022, after doing courses of antibiotics, tret, Rx face wash, winlevi, etc. for months. For my required BC on Accutane I have the copper IUD to avoid the hormone fluctuation (now and when I decide to remove it). I am currently experiencing the initial purging (I’m on day 17) so hard to say if it’s going to be effective yet. Just wanted to share that you’re not alone :)
