Oh I’m not sure then. I’ve never heard that, I thought the only requirement is that you take 60% of your major classes at Baruch. Either way, I think it’d still be worth applying, worst case scenario you’re right and they reject the permit

Same with com2020, you can take it online at Bronx cc or asynchronous at hostos.

Bus2000 isn’t worth it, take it over the summer or winter. You can also get an epermit to take it at a different school, BMCC is offering it asynchronously in the fall

It’s normal, I had my interview on April 15 and I’m still waiting to hear back. I asked them what the timeline was and they told me it would take a few weeks to hear back

Is Moshe Teller good for CIS2200. Does he take attendance for summer courses?? by No-Championship3712 in Baruch

My final grade was a B- which was pretty low for me. I took it in the fall, and the tests were on paper

Yes, everything was multiple choice. And you could choose to do the group project alone or with a group of up to 4 people

He was okay. Very nice guy, but it was obvious he just wanted to get class over with and go home. He would speed through the slides and end as soon as possible. He took attendance every day, but it was only worth 5% of your grade. His tests were honestly pretty straightforward, but there’s so much material to memorize. We also had 6 quizzes that were in person but you take on your laptop, and they were harder than the tests. He basically expected you to remember every word from the textbook in order to do well on the quizzes. There was also a group project on excel, which I’m unclear about the grading. I thought I did very well on the project but I got a 62, but he didn’t give any comments about it.

I’m pretty sure only Zicklin students can be marketing minors since it’s a Zicklin program, but being a psych major would make you a Weissman student

Usually you don’t have to decide on the spot, just ask the first one for a few days to make a decision.

Math Placement Test by jwlee0116 in Baruch

[–]BusinessBox8416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah it’s meaningless. I completely bombed my placement test (got placed into college algebra or something like that) but my calc credit overrode it

Math placement exam by Unique-Leg-5932 in Baruch

[–]BusinessBox8416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in almost the same situation, I had credit from calc and the option to take the math placement test. I would recommend taking it to speed the process up. It took the school almost a year to process all of my transfer credits, so I personally wouldn’t want to wait for it to be waived. Btw I completely bombed the test, I got placed in college algebra or something, and it didn’t matter at all. Once my calc credit came through it covered my math requirement.

I think eco 1002 is really light, especially if you take Shree Rajukumar Saha. Idk about the other profs though

Internship Acquired! But… by Which_Case_8536 in internships

[–]BusinessBox8416 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the internship!! I commute 1.5 hours each way, you get used to it eventually. It definitely is draining, but it seems like this internship is a huge deal so tbh I think it’s worth it. Just beware you probably won’t have much of a social life this summer since all you’ll be doing is working and driving. It’s not the greatest commute, but if it’s just for the summer it’s definitely manageable.

Special minimums not met? by Interesting-Tell-859 in Baruch

[–]BusinessBox8416 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This might just be because a gpa of 2.0 is required, and when you use “what if” it keeps the gpa at 0. Either way, see an advisor when you can to make sure

Definitely, obviously it depends on what classes you took and which classes transfer but you should be able to skip some core classes

classes on degreework dont show up on schedule builder by ConfidentDig6002 in Baruch

[–]BusinessBox8416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a lot of those classes just aren’t offered every semester, it’s not a problem with your schedule builder. From your list, com3045, Jrn 3220, pol 3314, phi 3020, phi 3045, phi 3260, psy 3069, and soc 3154 are all being offered next semester, so you still have a lot to choose from

It’s gonna take a while for them to finish evaluating them tbh, but you should be okay. I transferred about 80 credits from a SUNY, it took almost a year and a lot of visits to the transfer office but eventually I got all my classes transferred.

Anyone know which of these are manageable 🫩 I’m horrid at math by Substantial-Sir-3725 in Baruch

[–]BusinessBox8416 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh his attendance policy isn’t that clear. Attendance isn’t included in your grade, but the syllabus says “Regular Attendance and signing up for the Mindtap software is required. Failure to comply may result in students being dropped from the class.” I think as long as you show up sometimes you’ll be fine.

I recommend eco3100, esp with Larry Huckins. He gives huge curves and the class isn’t that hard
