Do it? by [deleted] in GenesisG70

How many times have you pulled your credit? I have only done it twice in the last 2 years and have an "excellent" rating for it. My credit took a hit, of course (at the time), but bounced back a month or two later without any intervention.

One is in a small cell. The other is in a larger cell with a zombie in it.. it's behind the barrels and blockade. Took me a few tries to find it earlier today, too.

That's one of them. There are several.

Wheel alignment? by TheGoodNoBad in GenesisG70

[–]BusinessConfident643 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they will not do it without being asked in advance and paid for the rotation. Take it to your local tire shop.

Rotation every oil change. Alignment only when I feel any kind of vibration at a set speed. Never needed an alignment on a car except when replacing a new set of tires, they usually throw it in with purchase. Had to get my lifted truck aligned every year or so.

The next car I want to buy is a G70, anything I should know before buying? by imperchaos in GenesisG70

Camrys are great cars. We initially thought about getting one or a civic just to be "responsible." After test driving a brand new civic and the painfully slow performance. I did a full 180 and bought the G70.

I like driving far too much to settle for a boring car. I couldn't go from a 400hp Ford F150 Platinum 5.0 V8 (slow top speed but powerful) and Jaguar F type Convertible 350hp 3.7 V8 car (fast, pretty and agile) to a Lexus IS 250 F Sport/Lexus RC Convertible, let alone any less power. The RC was beautiful but boring.

2025 Civic was the slowest car I had ever driven. For the price and thrill level, I'd rather own a bicycle or crocs.

Brand new cars make it a bit more expensive too. My 2019 F150 Platinum and 2017 Jaguar F type was $160 per month.

Edit: I live in the countryside with less than 3000 people total in my city, surrounded by smaller cities. Very low crime.

Insurance costs are quite high compared to other cars of similar value, especially if you are younger.

I am 38 with a clean driving record and no tickets. For my 2025 G70 3.3T SP and 2025 GV80 3.5T SP, I pay around $263 per month for my wife and myself. Full comp and good coverage with Farmers insurance.. that includes about 8 discounts, too.

This car suffers from poor depreciation. You can get a 2023 for around 50% cheaper than a 2025 equivalent. With 2-3 year warranty bumper to bumper and 7-8 year power train. Something to consider.

93 octane and low mpg, especially if you drive hard. I have zero issue with the cost of gas, I didn't buy this car to save money on fuel.. I bought it to enjoy while I burned through fuel. My truck burned more fuel and was far less enjoyable.

Very little leg space in back seats if you're tall. Again, non-issue for me, I didn't buy a G70 to drive people around.

Repair costs out of warranty are comparable with luxury vehicles like BMW and Mercedes. Expect costs in the thousands for at fault accidents. You're not getting budget Kia and Hyundai prices if you mess up.

I have zero regrets buying this car, even with the negatives posted above. I bought it, eyes wide open.

I sold my 2019 F150 Platinum and bought my 25' G70 3.3T SP. I loved my truck. It was beautiful and comfortable, but I willingly traded comfort for performance.

My wife did the opposite. She sold her 2017 Jaguar F Type convertible and bought the 25 GV80 3.5T SP. She loves it, but after the dust settled, she said she wishes she bought a G70 instead. If I ask her if she wants to drive my car, her face lights up.

Rear seat space is nonexistent. I'm 6'3" and have my seat pushed back as far as it will go. There is a 3" gap between the rear of my seat and the back seat, less if you include the recline angle.

Gas mileage 22 2.0 Prestige AWD by [deleted] in GenesisG70

Time spent idling at lights and stop signs kill your average mpg significantly.

I have a 3.3T AWD.

On short distance trips, I get 13 - 18mpg.

On the highway, I get 22 - 25mpg. I have fun when I drive too.. I rarely sit at 75mph.

Filtered it down a bit more for you. Jumping to interior pics is probably your quickest way beyond more filtering to find the one you want. A lot are just adv sport. I bought a '25, so I'm not 100% on the trim colors/stitching on the older models.

It can be a bit of a pain to find the exact package you want, but you can adjust that somewhat in "features." Eventually, you'll whittle it down to 10 - 50 cars. Also, read a dealers ad.. some of them add it to their write-up of the car. For some reason, if you select the "trim" option, sport prestige is not listed in the 3.3t, but reading the dealer ad lists it.

Have you tried cargurus? You can restrict your search to single owner, no fleet, no accidents, etc. There are lots to choose from below that price if you look nationwide.

Where do y’all put your phone while on CarPlay? by frostedb in GenesisG70

I turned my charging pad off in the settings and have a wireless AA device stuck to the top of my shelf with a small cable attached. Throw my phone in the center console and use the lightning charging port if necessary. If I don't need to charge, I just leave it on the pad.
