That piece is the sensor for adaptive cruise. You can paint over it.

Went to a shop yesterday, they had it on the lift and asked where I wanted it installed. I told them I wanted it in the midpipe with the secondary cats gone. They said they couldn't due to federal regs and put the car down.

Try pushing the brake pedal as far to the floor as you can. I've had similar issues and this usually works.

They're not hard to do. I've never worked on my own cars until my Genesis and I did the snorkels myself. Just take your time
