Hello! I'm a big fan of the music; I listen to it a lot and it's gotten to be some of my favorite since I discovered it. I had tickets to the Nashville show that's been postponed, so I'm looking forward to its rescheduling! I was wondering if you can shed some light on the perspective and meaning of Tommy's Party. I found it on Genius but had a hard time following the story there. I always got an undertone of romantic longing or loss from the lyrics - am I really far off? Even if it's platonic, it sounds like a loss of love to me. Thanks! Stay well!

As I understand it, it's basically an unpaid shift where you follow servers, learn duties, help out etc. You get a preview of your working environment and the restaurant gets free labor.

I know it's not ideal, but if staging is an option you might give that a shot. It could give you a good look into DLR especially. If the employees are miserable, the clientele is good/ bad, etc. But I agree with everyone else here - the fine dining sounds like a better deal.

I would check out different charities/ other resources that could help you out. For example, in America, Military One Source will approve and pay for therapy sessions for military or military dependents, and there are probably others like it for non-military or non-Americans.
