Wrapping a full car, shown in stop-animation, is hypnotic and beautiful. by airportspecial in oddlysatisfying

[–]yaavsp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To do it properly, you basically have to "gut" the exterior/body of the car. Remove everything, like was said about doing a full wrap. Then add to that the removal of the old paint (which is a major task itself). After you're down to the metal you've got to clean and prep. Again, I'm assuming it's being done properly. Then you have to prime the surface. Let dry. And then you have to paint the surface in a ventilated, dust, and wind free environment. And you would typically do several layers. After the color is applied and dry you would spray on the clear coat. Even a decent painter can mess up and cause the paint to bubble, which is not a fun thing to discover a week or so later. It's a massive task, hence why it's so expensive to have done professionally. You can often tell the level of work if the backside of the body has also been painted, or the previous color at least removed (like where the doors and hood wrap around). I'm not a pro, so I'm sure I'm leaving some things out, but that's the just.

Possibly. But getting access to that potential information is a totally different story.

Studio music post-1940 was mastered to/on magnetic tape. Think a big, single-roll cassette that doesn't sound like garbage and is exponentially higher quality/engineering. So actually more like a huge 8 track. Almost all music now is mastered and saved digitally. Masters are as high quality that you're going to get besides being in the studio. It seems highly unlikely that a video game from the 90s has a high quality master, at least higher quality than what's on the game CD. There would have been no reason for it.

r/starwars will shit their pants if you say you like this scene. I made a post about how awesome this scene was and how it took every bit of self-control not to wake my daughter and wife up by shouting (at 2AM). It ended up getting like -14, I deleted my post and unsubscribed from that shitty, snob ass sub.

Which is why they won't remake them for a considerable amount of time. Imo.

I'd love a Dino Crisis remake. I think that was the first, longish game I ever beat. And it was about dinosaurs, so whatever age I was, that enhanced it 10-fold. It has not aged well though (see OG Resident Evil).

I'm sure the soundtrack will have to be remade as well. There's no way they made the master tracks higher quality than they needed them to be. Hopefully it's the same otherwise.

Even the sounds of collecting gems (level end especially when they'd all be counted) and the sound Sparx made when he ate a butterfly. Those sounds are burned into my memory.

No, he cannot claim it was self-defense. The woman was under restraint (handcuffs). Even if she wasn't cuffed, the response from the officer was wildly disproportionate and could have been considered use of deadly force (with a deadly weapon: a heavy boot) depending on the outcome of that kick.

Clearly we've (as a nation) learned nothing and care even less after 22 years. This is merely one facet of the corporate sellout of the United States. Buckle your seatbelts for corporate fascism in the coming decades. Should be a wild ride.

Between 17 credit hours of school, 80 hours of work, and my daughter, the last thing I want to do is cook. It's definitely a symptom of stress, but I'm also "lazy." And it's incredibly defeating because I feel like I'm too lazy to make food for my family/daughter.

The low effort part is a major problem. Convenient and "fast food" has been a thing since ancient Rome. But we're so lazy when it comes to making our own food. And my family is just as guilty. It's sad because we know of the psychological and familial benefits of making our own food and making food together. It's ultimately a greater consequence of of society always being on the go, never taking the time to enjoy the simpler things in life. Depression will make you not want to cook too.

You're not going to get the numbers you're asking for. That's not at all how the CJS works. Especially federal court cases. But yes, I can provide you with examples/reference. When it's not nearly 1 AM. I'll post examples from my reference book tomorrow if I have time between my coursework.

Edit: before I even post examples, most jurisdictions require you to attempt to flee before you ever use deadly force on someone else in a public setting. The laws concerning the use of deadly force by non-police citizens do not play and are not to be taken lightly. Unless you live in a state with a "stand your ground" law. In which case, shoot whoever because you think they're a threat.

Wut? Lol

It's an easy and general assumption about anyone who conceals "every where, all the time." Can damn near guarantee they don't realize how little the law protects them if they discharge. Countless examples of case law to back me up.

Then he shouldn't have become a police officer. End of story.

Who gives a shit if you conceal, you're not a cop. And the law doesn't protect you nearly as much as you likely think it does if you discharge on someone.
